If Mee doesnt improve quickly can see Gibson replacing him when fit

Curious re: the comment about Ben Mee and international status. 12 months ago I would have fully understood it but his form over quite a while now has been indifferent and certainly not indicative of an international call-up.

Mee is a great defender although been a little poor this season. Strange comments from Dyche regarding England though who like ball playing defenders. Mee's distribution is pretty shocking.

I'm guessing he's trying to give Mee a seemingly needed confidence boost.

Anyone else hear the interview on talksport with the former arsenal and england physio Gary Lewin? The highly rated fella. He said players have final say on whether any aspect of their injuries can or cannot be made public. So we cannot always blame the club for non communication on player injuries.

Am I right in thinking that Gary Lewin played for us in the 'veterans' match v Wolves at the 1988 Sherpa Van final?

Isn't James Tarkowski also injured?

Would like to see Brady before long, he and Defour and Tarks together back in the team will be awesome, Gibson instead of Mee, and the quality in which we have been lacking this season will return over the next few games, its crucial to get these lads back to preserve our PL status, lets put the disappointment behind us and show the rest of the PL what we can do when we are at full strength.

Why would be not be allowed to post on here? Has he been abusive to anyone? Foul language?

Or just has different opinions to you?

What is wrong with my statement? We spent 15 million on Gibson to provide competition. If someone is not playing well the next man steps in if up to the desired level. Ben Gibson has been on the verge of an England call up in recent years and will not want to be stuck on the bench all season. Its easy to say to him well the lads are playing well so bide your time like Tarks was probably told when Keane and Mee were playing so well. But when someone who is in your position isnt performing and you dont get a chance then rightly you can ask questions.

If Gibson is going to get himself a slot in this team in tge immediate future, its more likely to be at left back than in place of Mee. Like Mee, hes a CB foremost but started at left back and can offer a solid if not terribly adventurous option there. Certainly if he were fit for tomorrow Id start him there, given Taylor has been our weakest link and City are so ruthless at exploiting defensive shortcomings.

It's very rare that I agree on anything with Cleveleys but to be fair to him I don't recall him having done anything that would warrant him being banned.
