Who still uses chatrooms?

I suppose you could say that this is one of sorts, but do people still use the more general ones?

I had been using a worldwide chatroom, where the users were from all over the globe, but it has been spoiled recently with adverts, spam, trolls etc.

Are they considered too old hat these days?

I'd be interested to know people's views.

I've made many contacts in the Spanish speaking parts of the world, as I can speak it reasonably well, but I've got rather frustrated with the rooms now, for the reasons I outlined in my opening post.

Hace muchos años usaba chat rooms para ayudarme con la lengua Español ,pero hoy en día yo prefiero hablar en Forums o estudiar por canales Español .para mi es más fácil..Yo me gustar hablar en muchos tipos de subjetos especialmente el fútbol..en realidad yo hablo mejor que entender ..a veces me faltan las palabras amigo ..

Yes, there's an excellent youtube channel called 'Spanish with Paul' which is good if you want to learn more fluent conversational Spanish.

However, I use the chatrooms to chat to 'real' Hispanics who live in a different culture etc, and the Latinas, in particular, are always worth chatting with

Yes, there's an excellent youtube channel called 'Spanish with Paul' which is good if you want to learn more fluent conversational Spanish.

However, I use the chatrooms to chat to 'real' Hispanics who live in a different culture etc, and the Latinas, in particular, are always worth chatting with

Nothing beats talking One to one with my Spanish friends who live over here as I do regularly ..You learn the language far quicker.. It's quite an easy lnguage to learn when you get into it..Anywy I will let you carry on with your study?

The whole internet experience is degenerating because of this.

Nearly all sites now require you to accept cookies (EU law I believe - understandable but a pain) and despite fast broadband many sites take an age to load (and sometimes simply get stuck) with the ton of adverts stuck to them. That of course is why most of us moved here from ClaretsMad.

This is one of the few well behaved sites (and I'm really grateful for that) although unfortunately not all posters are.
