Deeply offended

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Fri Oct 19, 2018 9:32 pm

Does anyone know who I write to?

Was in The Trafford Centre this evening and they have a mothercare! As my dad is a father, who do I complain to on his behalf about this blatant sexism?

I think there's a lass on here with the username Blackrod who specialises in being offended by stuff like this. Give her a shout im sure she'll add it to her cause

I'm deeply offended for a woman in Iran who got stoned to death for her husbands affair.

I'm deeply offended because a woman in the UK wore a bikini at the darts and was paid handsomely.

Which one is real? Which one is a time wasting exercise by bull Shiite artist control freaks trying to manipulate all they can.

No you're not. You pretend you are at times when it's convenient for you to bring it up, like right now, but you don't really give a **** about Muslim women who are oppressed across the Islamic world.

Ahhh finally the true self comes out the judgemental , presumptuous ,telepathic imploded tortoise.

You do not know me little boy. Don't assume you know my thoughts.

Too add. You Judgemental knobhead. I do find it offensive a Muslim woman suffering inexcusable suffering because of a lack of education. The darts comment is for idiots like you to take a retrospective look at the peace we live in and be less judgemental and hypocritical.

Yeah, i'm pretty judgemental sometimes. And i think on the balance of probabilities it's far more likely that someone like you is only interested in the suffering of women in the middle-east when it's a convenient tool to bash Muslims with. I get the impression you're quite right-wing, you probably voted to leave the EU because you didn't want us to take in refugees from those oppressive countries so i hold little to no faith in your protestations that you do in fact give a ****.

Maybe i'm wrong. I hope I am. But i'll not be changing my mind just because you got really offended. Start supporting policies and ideas that will actually do something to help and then i'll believe you.

I hate atrocities of any scale . Be it human rights -we are all equal or the pathetic agenda of the pc gone mad west.

I am not right wing at all. I resent the UK importing not producing. I am less British than most . And I have always voted Labour. I won't follow the crowd . I stand by my own beliefs 100%

The UK produces plenty. It hasn't really grown since the recession but it's at near record levels. The actual fanatics on the fringe right would have you believe we're producing next to nothing and that it's all because of the EU flooding us with foreigners, but it couldn't be further from the truth. Automation took those jobs, not foreigners, and leaving the EU isn't going to bring those jobs back.

This kind of think is why i judged you to be just another ignorant right-winger, because the facts don't fit with your opinions and yet your opinions don't change.

The UK has the least robots / job of the major European nations. Robotics is not automation but it's a decent proxy and indicator. Where, if anywhere, did you get your analysis other than a knee-jerk rebuttal?

I love your view that only right-wingers don't change their view despite evidence. Yet again, you make me laugh.

I don't think that only right-wingers refuse to change their views. But on subjects that are discussed on here they are the ones most guilty of it.

As for your question. Here's a graph of UK productivity going back as far as statistics go. No doubt we are losing some jobs to other countries but where in this graph is it reflected that we're losing a significant number as a result of EU membership? Now it's fair enough to say that productivity != manufacturing, but it is included in our productivity and this graph shows that either manufacturing jobs lost over the decades wan't been much of a factor in how productive we are as a nation, OR they all ****** off exactly when the recession hit and that's why productivity has barely grown since then.

Image

The reason jobs are going abroad is because labour is cheaper there. That's not because of the EU, that's because we want to be well paid and have a good standard of living. Those jobs will definitely come back if we slash the minimum wage to £3/hr and get rid of safety regulations, but who wants to work 34 hours a week purely to pay £100/week in rent? But that's ok because out of the EU we can get rid of 40hr working week, so these poor ******* can work 80 instead. £240/week. Nice. Almost tax free too which is at least one good thing. Or maybe it isn't because we've had to cut other taxes for the rich so that they'll keep jobs here which means there's no welfare for the working poor to have kids, because on £240/week 80 hours a week you're going to need help to afford them.

So now we have an ageing population of near slaves who can't afford to have kids, and what does that mean? A shrinking workforce. So where will we find educated, grown up workers if we're not producing our own? That's right, immigrants. We're gonna have to bring in foreign workers to work and pay taxes to fund the pensions of those poor ******* who spent their life working for next to nothing. Poetic justice, some would say.

My point is those jobs are gone. They're not coming back because we won't be slashing the minimum wage anywhere near enough to compete with people in other countries who can live on £2 a day. So stfu about manufacturing making a comeback.

That's a very long way to say, "Nothing. It has nothing to do with automation. I just made that up. You right wing *******".

Hats off though for the rambling stream of not necessarily related or logical steps you took in your longer piece to, predictably, get to where you wanted.

It's not illogical to believe that while productivity doesn't decline but jobs do then those jobs are being lost to automation, not foreigners. If those jobs were only going overseas then productivity would drop too. If that wasn't clear in my post then I apologise. I trust this post clears it up for you, and that you'll apologise for your baseless accusation.

Nice, isn't it? If you just assume that people saying things you don't like don't really hold the opinions they hold then you never have to spend any effort thinking about what they are saying, or coming up with a rebuttal.
I'm going to start doing that.

Good news everyone, climate change isn't happening. The scientists don't really believe it is. They just be trolling.
