Fulham seem to be panicking somewhat when they play and unless they stop conceding like they are doing it'll remain a big problem.

I hope Fulham - but I really don't see how that could be possible. So I'd go Cardiff, Huddersfield and Newcastle.

Forgot about Fulham. Probably three from four then.

All more likely than us, which is the main thing.

What has happened to Fulham?
They looked very good against us and as Sean Dyche said afterwards it looks like £100M well spent

I think Newcastle and Huddersfield look doomed, purely for their inability to score goals. At least Cardiff are giving it a go, and it seems like they've had a really tough start. I think it's any 3 from Burnley, Palace, Southampton, Newcastle, Cardiff and Huddersfield. Luckily for us there's some absolute dross in that lot.

Can't see Palace being down there, they'll spend well in January and while they have Tom Daley in the team, they'll get penalties.

They can't defend. Even though they looked good going forward against us, they were still terrible defensively.

Surely if you think Newcastle and Huddersfield look doomed, it's one from Burnley, Palace, Southampton and Cardiff?

So it's Cardiff Huddersfield .......

Besides Huddersfield, Fulham and Newcastle are both behind Cardiff right now and neither can buy a win

Cardiff were much better at Liverpool today than they were against us (other than the last 10 mins). Huddersfield looked clueless as did Fulham

Get the feeling Fulham will change their manager soon. Make the right appointment and with the quality they've got they should be fine. Southampton are really struggling as well. How long till someone panics and gives Sam Allardyce a call?

They were talking about Fulham pre-match. Seemingly not a happy camp because many of the players who got them up have been discarded from day one with a whole host of new signings coming in. So players in the promotion team are now unhappy and that can only cause unrest. Not sure how they sort that, but I suspect the manager, who has nothing to do with signings, will go.

The division is that wide open after the big six anyone could go down ,Watford and Bournemouth look ok but the likes of Wolves and Brighton could totally implode . I don’t think a true picture will evolve until afte the Xmas rounds of games .Id go Cardiff Hudds Fulham , but Soton and Newcs also look rancid .

I thought I'd read that they've completely bought a new 11? It's only going to get worse (I hope!!) - they'll spend another 50 million in January.

Yeah I noticed that with Fulham. Seemed like most of the lads who got them promoted were dumped in favour of a load of new signings. Don't think their owner will mess about if he thinks they're in danger of going down. Pretty sure they've got Huddersfield next week, could be make or break for him.

Bit premature and a tad arrogant with this thread. If we don’t have circa 20 points by New Year, then we will be right in the smelly stuff.

Normally I'd agree with you mate, but there's some absolute dross down there this season. Wouldn't be surprised if 30 points was enough to stay up. It might not be pretty but am confident we'll be able to grind enough points out.

Why?
Overrated, rarely stamps his authority on games in the PL and before they went down last time he was on £70k a week.

I'd want a much better player than him for that kind of wage.

Weren't there people on here using Fulham as an example to bash Burnley's board with during the summer?

Something about ambition, or a lack of it.

Well Southampton must be in the frame as they can’t score for toffees lately despite having people like Ings, Austin and the other one who sounds like gabardine up front.

Probably, there are a lot of idiots on here.

No doubt they were the same ones who used Middlesbrough a couple of seasons ago.

Much too early to say .Cardiff have played all the top five. So could easily climb up the table during November.
Plenty of time for all other clubs in bottom ten.
For me it's any three of current bottom ten.

Three from the current bottom seven

A good defense will get you a point, scoring goals is more likely to get a team three points

Take out our four goals against Bournemouth and we are struggling along with the others in the bottom seven

Err, we scored less than a goal per game last season (in the bottom 5 I think), yet finished 7th!

Wolves are hardly scoring yet are doing reasonably well.

The league has already taken shape. My guess is that come the end of the season we'll have the usual top 6, followed by the likes of Watford, Bournemouth and Everton and the current bottom 5 or 6 teams will be scrapping it out to avoid relegation.

Fulham where there for the taking when we played them and looked terrible at the back but, we stood off them and defended like we’d met at 3am outside Panama Joes!

Seems Fulham have got the least chance of going on a season-defining run at any point, so they are my pick.

The way Fulham are being run they'll sack the manager, bring in Zidane and spend 400 million in January
