This team is very deservedly heading back to the Championship. Will the board have the guts to sack the person responsible? Not on your nelly!

Re: Whammers Bubblers versus MIGHTY CLARETS
We my halftime prediction was right about us shipping 4 or 5 yet a f**king gain.
It's like watching us defend when Coyle was in charge.
I wouldn't pay Tarkowski or Lowton with washers this week. Both were worse than useless

Re: Whammers Bubblers versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Something HAS to change. Defensively, we have been embarrassing this season. It has been shambolic. This isn’t a reactionary fickle post. It’s November, we are getting worse, and we don’t look like we’d keep clean sheets in a division below. Dyche has made changes when necessary in the past. But if he doesn’t make changes, or sort the problem out, then his position has to be questioned. It doesn’t matter where we are, or where we’ve come from. What matters is that the representatives of the club do their bit. At the moment, the players aren’t doing their bit, and Dyche has to take responsibility. And if he can’t sort the problem out...
I’ll give him time, but he doesn’t have a free ticket to the Championship. Either change must come soon, or I won’t be the only one questioning the manager. I’ve been fair in the past when I’ve noticed problems, and trusted Dyche. I still trust him, but that trust will only remain if things improve.

Lowton has been shocking all season. He just gets pulled towards the ball in the penalty area and leaves his man open. I was actually hoping he would get a red card as Tarks should have got. Wrong tactics and wrong team selection yet again.West Ham were there for the taking .

I would agree. But Mee also needs to question himself. And I don’t trust BardsleyVegas Claret wrote:Hammers hit the post

Long is looking like our most reliable defender at the moment. And I never thought I’d say that
I thought we showed real glimpses of attacking quality today. But absolutely let ourselves down defensively

Re: Whammers Bubblers versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Even the board went off at my end!
Sad end. We went for it but could not string passes together.
Tarkowski looks like he wants off. Lowton....His mate...maybe too. Mee superb. Taylor superb.
Overall, woeful.
Roll on next week. Get this out of the system.

I thought Mee and Taylor did their best, Tarks and Lowton should be left in London to have a long walk home

Re: Whammers Bubblers versus MIGHTY CLARETS
I agree Mee was very good, at least until the 92nd minute. But we were pretty dire today and everyone writes about the goals we are conceding but I notice also how many yellow cards we are getting compared to any other year under Dyche.
Re: Whammers Bubblers versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Mee seems more intent in getting back and making a goalline block than actually closing down players and actually defending.

Re: Whammers Bubblers versus MIGHTY CLARETS
It's a pretty bad patch and pretty awful again today, but giving up hope on staying up before guy Fawkes has been smoked is mental, especially when you're not in the bottom 3.
We know we can do a hell of a lot better, and it's a challenge for Dyche he hasn't faced before given our performance last season and the resulting expectation. I back him to overcome it. This season was always going to be tough, and though we might've made it slightly easier for ourselves in the transfer market, these players we have are underperforming. Again, I back them to overcome it and raise their levels.

I pretty much agree.paulatky wrote:Mee seems more intent in getting back and making a goalline block than actually closing down players and actually defending.
There is a difference between being good and looking good.
Last gasp defending looks great, but if you defend properly beforehand it’s usually unnecessary.
But the balance has to be right.
Tarks went hell for leather trying to close people down and left space behind him too many times.
Mee wasn’t our worst defender by any means, but suggesting he is back to his best is wishful thinking.

Re: Whammers Bubblers versus MIGHTY CLARETS
After sleeping on it Dyche should be fired. Don’t ask me who should replace him, I have no idea, but Owen Coyle or Brian Laws couldn’t do any worse! Something is very, very wrong. We are not a team. We look completely lost on the pitch. How in gods name did we go from a rock solid defence to where we are now? Nailed on for relegation if things don’t change and soon.
