Passing accuracy 63%. Shocking
Passing accuracy 63%. Shocking
This is the stat that is killing us at the moment, not our defence.
That means we are almost as likely to find a West Ham player as we are a Burnley player. It has ben like that or nearly every game and unless we fix it, we are down for sure.

pi$$ poor
Re: Passing accuracy 63%. Shocking
Dyche cannot coach a team to keep the ball, he doesn’t know how.
It’s been like this nearly every season under him but our defensive skills have made up for it. This season our defending is atrocious though so unsurprisingly we look like a league 1 side that has won a raffle to play in the big league

Re: Passing accuracy 63%. Shocking
It’s not just the long balls that are inaccurate. Our short passing is woeful.

Can't believe Joe Hart makes them play like this.

Re: Passing accuracy 63%. Shocking
I commented the same on the match thread.
How many times did we pass it from their half 20 or 30 yds back into our half and to them.
Atrocious doesn’t do it justice and something is definitely wrong in the camp.
We’ll be lucky to get anything next week and that makes the televised Newcastle match a must win.

What on earth must we do on the training pitch?
There’s obviously no passing drills or keep-the-ball drills. Probably just endless talks on keep the shape and having the will and desire.

Probably exactly the same as last season. Doubt you were moaning about our training methods then.ksrclaret wrote:What on earth must we do on the training pitch?

It was 60% against Huddersfield.

My point is you seem to be pretty derogatory about our training methods that were/are “probably just endless talks on keeping the shape and having will and desire” yet forget that’s exactly what got us to finish in the highest league position this club has had for over 50 years.ksrclaret wrote:Well no, because we were playing quite well and winning?

Hence why I didn’t complain about training methods last season.Winstonswhite wrote:My point is you seem to be pretty derogatory about our training methods that were/are “probably just endless talks on keeping the shape and having will and desire” yet forget that’s exactly what got us to finish in the highest league position this club has had for over 50 years.
However this season we’re dogger and showing no signs of improvement, and the football on offer is far, far worse than last year. A 60 odd percent pass completion rate is pathetic and needs addressing, as it’s not an isolated game, it’s been frequent.

So might as well start coaching actual football

Re: Passing accuracy 63%. Shocking
Yes i agree it’s pathetic but I don’t think a few drills and games of keep ball (if that’s what you want?) are going to mean us shooting up the table.
The whole reason we are in this predicament, is what plenty of us have been saying for years now and is POOR PLAYER RECRUITMENT.

I'm sure the Board aren't telling Dyche he has to waste all summer trying to pay over the odds for journeymen like Jay Rod and Sam Clucas.Winstonswhite wrote:Yes i agree it’s pathetic but I don’t think a few drills and games of keep ball (if that’s what you want?) are going to mean us shooting up the table.

That Newcastle game is looking more vital by the day,if we don't get a win then we are staring down the barrel,ATM the best i can see is a draw.piston broke wrote:I commented the same on the match thread.

We played some right dross last season also, mixed with a good defence and some decent flashes of attacking play, once or twice a game.Winstonswhite wrote:Probably exactly the same as last season. Doubt you were moaning about our training methods then.
