Wolves vs Spurs

Post by Funkydrummer » Sat Nov 03, 2018 9:25 pm

Wolves just scored their second penalty to pull it back to 2-3 with
quarter of an hour to go.

Wolves should be 6th. No excuses at all.

Imagine if Wolves could finish, build up play and chance creation is excellent.

If they’d put 6 past I wouldn’t have been able to complain.

Easy. They'll just spend £100 million in January. You do not need any skill at all when you have the money. They could save money on sacking the manager and employing Postman Pat. They'd still be fully expected to finish AT LEAST 7th.

Incredible amount of bitterness I sense in this post. Not true either, you need skill to spend money wisely at any level. Wolves didnt pay a single transfer fee we couldn’t have afforded this year, unlike Fulham who are below us and spent more than them.

Fact is, they’ve gone for players with pace, energy and technical ability. It’s the profile of the players that impresses me the most.

In your opinion. Which I disagree with.

Don't worry, I think the same about them. How they are as low as they are in beyond me. How is that actually possible?

Both Fulham and Wolves should be battling for the top 6 and running them close.

For all the talk about Wolves coasting the Premier League, they have now lost three on the bounce and have Arsenal at the Emirates next.

Another assist for Tripps yesterday good to see.

It helps when you have a leading football agent as the board's bedfellow I guess.

Absolutely. But then Forest have attempted the same this year and haven’t come close to Wolves’ level. Scouting is everything.

What Wolves have is agent power to get good deals for players and the club, it’s not so much about how much they spend it’s more the perception that they have an advantage by who they have involved in running the club.

The Kieran Trippier cross was beautiful.
As good as the goal.

It was a great cross for sure.
But trying to nutmeg the wolves player cost them a penalty and nearly cost them 2 poInts.
Tripps also at fault last week for the City goal.

His creative play going forward more than makes up for his defensive faults but have noticed that Gary Neville has been quick to point the finger at him in his commentary - jealous that Tripps got more adulation for England in 3 weeks of World Cup than Gaz did for 10 years playing for England !!
