It’s good to see that something was done about it though

World football continues in safe hands.

Thanks fpr posting 2nd and 3rd parts Chester. Makes a very interesting read and does of course justify the chant "If it wasn't for the Arabs you'd be sh** !

Pep left Bayern for City, it’s all very bitter and Bundesliga biased.

Milltown - there is plenty of other stuff in the Der Spiegel reports - not all of it has been translated into English and German clubs are not getting away with it - they know plenty is not right in their own country - in fact they seem to be having a go at all the major clubs in all the major leagues. The things they share with most of us (not all) is they have difficulties with:

- Super power clubs that abuse their history and success by trying establish a virtual closed shop (Bayern especially get a hard time on that one)
- Clubs (more specifically owners) that dramatically distort the market place with funding that is in contravention of the rules of competition and backed possibly more importantly is on such a scale that the Authorities are unable to enforce rules without fear of being bankrupted in due legal process
- Senior Officials in the game who are more interested in self aggrandisement and money than the game

First paragraph of part 4 talks about their recent match against “Burnley F.C., a rather harmless team from a smallish city in northern England”

I’m sure Dyche would be displeased with his team being described as such. Although Der Spiegel have arguably been doing their homework in the last few weeks! The German version of this at least adds that we are “traditionsvoll”.

More from Der Spiegel this time on Man City's lesser known farming activities in Africa - all done without a even having to run a club in a league

Weird how people accept IT's articles when he posts about football, but not when he shows sources about other things.

Meanwhile they agree a 3 year deal with Raheem Sterling worth over £46 million pound.

He's overly biased in regards to things like politics, like many people are, so posting an article to support a particular side of a political argument won't always work out well.

Football stuff like this is actually interesting and worth reading though, because it isn't political to most of us.

My personal liberal bias doesn't affect my regard for the facts. If you disregard a source of fact because you don't like that the source is biased then you're not basing your opinions on the facts, you're basing it on bias.

If someone posts evidence supporting their opinion, argue against the evidence, not the person. It doesn't matter how biased the person might be if what they're saying is true.
Too many people immediately jump to the "omg ur like soooo biased" argument as a way to completely disregard crucial information that should change their opinion, probably because they simply don't like contradictory information. Those people are what I like to call 'morons'. There are a lot of 'morons'.

I'm sick of people whining about bias instead of actually considering the substance of what I or others say. There's nothing wrong with having someone's political bias at the back of your mind, but if that's the first thing you call upon and use as an argument against anyone elses argument then you're only demonstrating that you are unwilling to listen to anyone who doesn't agree with you.
