Agreed with what he said...(and something he inferred is that Tarks is getting too big for his boots)...

Re: Jamie Carragher
Less running, less sprints is worrying considering that's always been a given under Dyche. A good analysis by Carragher, the stats don't lie.

Rift between Dyche and Woan for a start
Re: Jamie Carragher
The clip of that second goal where Tarks was talking to Ian woan when the ball was in play was difficult to watch.
Re: Jamie Carragher
But the happy clappers keep telling us everything is fine? Don't know whether to believe them or an impartial observer who has played hundreds of games at the highest level.
Re: Jamie Carragher
Yes totally agree with what he said. Highlighted that Burnley were top of the league last season when it came to wins by one goal margin (12) which can easily end up as nil nil draws or defeats, That we’ve gone from being second in the league last season on conceding four or more goals to being bottom of the league in that respect this season. Also now worst when it comes to big chances conceded and shots on target faced and 19th on goals conceded and expected goals against. We all know performance has been under par but interesting to see this analysis.

If Tarks is getting complacent and not fully fit, then = problems.

Most players carrying an injury, do fewer sprints.

Re: Jamie Carragher
The point about nicking games by the odd goal is a good one. I've lost count the amount of games I've come off under Dyche and thought "how the hell did we win that"? It's easy to see how quickly that can turn around.
Re: Jamie Carragher
I don't think it's luck when you win so many by narrow margins. I think it's because last season we had one of the best conversion rates compared to chances created. We didn't have that many but missed very few easy chances.jrgbfc wrote:The point about nicking games by the odd goal is a good one. Rift between Dyche and Woan??

If I was Dyche I would have been fuming with Woan , very unprofessional

Re: Jamie Carragher
Calling it a 'rift' is a bit sensational, to be honest. For those not watching, they showed a clip from the match, Woan was speaking to Tarky at the moment of a throw in, Dyche points for Tarky to get closer to his man, possession turns over, Tarky's positioning is a bit off because he was speaking to Woan, he over-commits to a challenge, ballses it up and leaves Anderson with loads of space, scores. Dyche has a bit of a pop at Woan. Absolutely no suggestion or evidence that there's a rift.

Re: Jamie Carragher
Can we stop talking about this apparent rift between Woan and Dyche as if everyone knows what has happened, just tell us all, who don't know, what the apparent issue is??
Edit: Thank you Spiral.

Looks like a major issue to me and yes rift
Re: Jamie Carragher
God forbid a manager castigates his subordinate when he acts irresponsibly. To be quite honest I'd have a grievance with Dyche were he more blase about it all.

It was a one off incident during the game ffs.
As much as some people on this board would want it to be it was not a rift...they had words.

Re: Jamie Carragher
Whilst it’s a big concern that something is wrong in the “group” that is not evidence of it.
Re: Jamie Carragher
just a good old fashioned rollicking... make a mistake, get a telling off and move on. That’s football
Re: Jamie Carragher
Arguments will be a daily occurrence, particularly during difficult spells or when issues occur. There’s a huge difference though between an argument or being castigated to a rift and / or major issue.joey13 wrote:Even when you see the evidence you still can’t accept it

After West Ham scored their first goal , 5 players with their heads in their hands after 10 minutes, still nothing wrong at the club

Something isn’t right and there are certainly issues that need to be resolved but I think you’re clutching at straws with this example.joey13 wrote:After West Ham scored their first goal , 5 players with their heads in their hands after 10 minutes, still nothing wrong at the club
Re: Jamie Carragher
Palace at home and Watford away last season spring to mind immediately. Liverpool away we scored with pretty much our only effort on target and somehow clung on for a point. Everton at home the year Arfield scored the winner we got absolutely battered. Both wins against our friends down the road the year we won the league. I could give you plenty more but I've got better things to do.TVC15 wrote:I know you have “lost count” that there has been so many of these but can you name a few.
Re: Jamie Carragher
It’s all Joe Harts fault.... he should be shouting sprint, sprint at them all
Re: Jamie Carragher
The Watford game was not luck at all. They were in control until we brought on Vokes. Thereafter they completely collapsed and couldn't cope with us and it ended up being a fairly comfortable victory once we'd gone in front.jrgbfc wrote:Palace at home and Watford away last season spring to mind immediately. Re: Jamie Carragher
If we are not careful it's going to become a self fulfilling prophecy. Rift created because we keep talking about it,players falling out because we keep talking about it, players falling out with Dyche because we keep talking about it and ultimately relegation because it's been on the cards all season because we kept on talking about it.
Re: Jamie Carragher
Watching the matches live it was obvious, but good now the stats back it up.
Some of us have said it many times before this season and been shot down in flames for saying it.

Perhaps there are more productive things we could be doing?

Didn’t realise a Carragher was so close to the club. Assumed he was just filling a few minutes on MNF.joey13 wrote:Yes because I made it all up , it wasn’t on Sky and Jamie Carragher doesn’t exist
You’re probably right, we should believe these people and try and exaggerate what they say.
We have found a broom so let’s start the witch-hunt.
Edit: typed in carragher and it was changed to stranger. Ironic
