11th anniversary of the First Goal Sweep at Leicester

Post by ClaretTony » Thu Nov 08, 2018 2:02 pm

The first ever game we ran the First Goal Sweep was on 10th November 2007 at Leicester. Andy Gray's goal on 23 minutes in our 1-0 win wasn't taken so the prize rolled on and the first winner was poster waynobfc who won £120.

This Saturday, on the same date, we return to Leicester although Steve Davis won't be in charge this time. In the 11 years, to date, the First Goal Sweep has raised a total of £9,200 for the Youth Foundation with considerably more than that having gone in prizes.

It was won again last week at West Ham, with heaiburnley picking up £120, and that means we are back to £30 this Saturday. We've currently got 44 entries in but the prize would go up to £40 if we got that to 60.

£1 per game, minimum 5 games. See link for details.
