If he takes Tarky's car with him when he goes we should fly up the league.

It would be crazy to let him go to a relegation rival.

Re: Heaton wanted by Huddersfield
(1) Note who’s after Tom- a Lower League PL team and not a “top 6” club. If Tom wants first team football then this might well be his limit. A bigger club might see Tom only as a back up player- if indeed they are willing to risk him after his injury last season.
(2) Why on earth should we strengthen a relegation rival? We’re likely to be nearer to them than we are the top six at the end of this season...
(3) Perhaps this open interest by Huddersfield might bring another club or two into the open and increase the price for Tom.
Perhaps most importantly though is (4) If Pope isn’t fit in January then I doubt that Tom will be going anywhere....whether he wants to or not!

If you could guarantee ONE of our current keepers stayed for this and the next 2 seasons, which one would it be?

Pope. The amount of high balls he collects with ease is crucial for us. He has been severely missed this season as he relieves so much pressure off the defence.

Pope Nick the 1st for me, I believe the defence is a lot stronger and confident with him.

You can say that again...CnBtruntru wrote:Pope Nick the 1st for me, I believe the defence is a lot stronger and confident with him.
Oh you did
Re: Heaton wanted by Huddersfield
As good a move as it would be for Heaton can't see us going out of our way to strengthen one of our rivals somehow.

No. He has a big house in brighouse.Steve1956 wrote:Why? Does he live in Harrogate or something?
Re: Heaton wanted by Huddersfield
Would be gutted if Tom left, especially to a relegation rival. He's our best keeper IMO.
Re: Heaton wanted by Huddersfield
Easier to get to Hudds from Manchester area where Tom probably lives than Harrogate lol....Steve1956 wrote:Why? Does he live in Harrogate or something?

Unsure if true. But I actually heard Heaton was one of the few players in recent years to have a houae round here. (Cliveger)Bosscat wrote:Easier to get to Hudds from Manchester area where Tom probably lives than Harrogate lol....

Am I allowed to say Joe Hart? Because I really would say him. I know Pope was brilliant last season but it was just one season.HiroshimaClaret wrote:If you could guarantee ONE of our current keepers stayed for this and the next 2 seasons, which one would it be?

Another for Pope. Nothing against Joe, I just think Nick is a better fit at Burnley.

Don't know where he lives, but I would expect South Manchester area, which would be just as accessible has Burnley.
He would also have a better chance of 1st team football
Re: Heaton wanted by Huddersfield
I thought Heaton lived in Cliviger anyway?
Re: Heaton wanted by Huddersfield
Agree with that. Pope has to come in when fit.colne-claret wrote:Pope. The amount of high balls he collects with ease is crucial for us. He has been severely missed this season as he relieves so much pressure off the defence.

Rooney was half decent 3 years ago, but I still wouldn't have him in the England team.Foulthrow wrote:Am I allowed to say Joe Hart? Because I really would say him. I know Pope was brilliant last season but it was just one season.
