Boca juniors vs River Plate in the Copa Libertadores Final (south american champions league) live on BT Sport at 8pm today. That should be some vieiwing!!!!

To be honest CC I don't think there are many that i have been to apart form Burnley v Blackburn myself that rate . Now i could say Galway United v Athlone Town but hard to say that rates really .
Not one for to follow other clubs apart from Burnley , Gaway United and The Republic of Ireland , maybe not in that order .

I could be wrong but presume it's part of the BT Sport Subscription and not free to view.

Been to 3 England Scotland games (two Wembley one at Celtic) that were OK. And an England Ireland one if that counts. Again nothing special.

Inter vs AC, Inter vs Juventus were both pretty special. Atmopshere and setting fantastic.
Borussia Monchengladbach vs Koln a bit of a let down as all of the Koln Ultras were banned. Pre match was entertaining mind.

Few others too - the worse being a Tallinn Derby that due to 6 foot snow and minus 20 weather it moved to an astro turf - The Fans recognised the claret scarf though and said they loved Brian Jensen

Red Star vs Partizan easily the most intense though. The whole experience was unbelievable. Probably the closest in Europe to Boca River!?

Yep, there isnt the same level of support for the national team right now. And they had a real bust up with some of the players not so long ago. Its to do with the 'effort' players put in playing for the national side and disillusionment with the money the players earn (sound familiar?)

It's not to do with the players effort or money it's down to the disillusionment with and chronic mismanagement of the Serbian football federation. They have a very similar thing in Croatia.

Oh FFS I just wrote an essay in response and for some reason it didn't post, damn. Ho hum. Good to see someone else who's interested in Serbian football, I lived there for several years and get to about 75% of Serbia's home games nowadays thanks to Wizzair and free accommodation at the other end.

Great place. Belgrades an amazing city. But the country as a whole I love.

The footballs nowhere near its heydey. But red star and partizan are both doing better in europe lately.

Have to say I enjoyed Belgrade also , took a bike ride down the river well footpath I should say to some beach side place goodness the views , hummmm if you know what I mean .
A walking tour was great also leaned a lot .

We did a tour which was in an old communist car that took us to all the old ghettos and gun shooting
