Jeremy Corbyn

Post by Wilf Mbanga » Sun Nov 11, 2018 11:25 am

What a scruff. The jacket he wore for the remembrance ceremony at the cenotaph wasn’t even black and it looked like he’d bought it from ASDA. To think people want him to be the person who leads us and represents us on the international stage. God at least Trump makes an effort.

Presentation matters.

At a solemn and respectful ceremony for those that made the ultimate sacrifice the least he could do is make an effort. Or maybe that is him making an effort.

I am a Labour Party member and I really struggle to vote at the moment.

Having put up with all that this nasty governments antics over the period and you say you would really struggle to vote?

Frankly I’m flabbergasted, as a suggestion can I just advise you (or anyone who is open enough to listen) to vote tactically to remove this irresponsible and heavily biased Party where ever you/may live.

Trump made a massive effort not to visit a US cemetery in France because it was raining. Can you imagine that hair and fake orange tan in the rain? It would be like eating a bag of Wotsits in the shower. Like you say - presentation matters.

I know someone who will not vote because the constituency he lives in is a foregone conclusion... hence he advocates proportional representation so more would get off their fat backsides on polling day and vote....

Teresa is not exactly blessed with dress sense. Her jackets have sleeves 6ins too short and are about 2 suzes too small. She reminds me of a kid who picked the wrong coat up at home time
Corbyn needs a shave and get over the open neck shirt look.Certain occasions call for a tie and it diesnt make you less of the peoples man by weaeing a tie.
The wearing of his charity shop jacket to the Remembrance celebrations did him no favours.

What do you expect when It's Dianne Abbott who gets him dressed in the morning.

The guy is a communist and detests any sort of patriotic celebration, he knows he has to do it but does it with as little effort as he possibly can, including his appearance.

There are some planks on here

I am not Corbyns biggest fan but he was there and he paid his respects. What more do you want?

Like the prats who get offended because he doesn’t sing God save the queen. So what? He doesn’t believe in god or the monarchy, so what.

Get a grip. You’re making out like he’s purposely making life difficult for disabled people so they would rather die. Oh

I'm no fan of Corbyn but these actions in Poland of all places are very worrying, and much more alarming for those who crave peace.

Commemorations in Poland overshadowed by far-right groups

The centenary of the Armistice is particularly poignant for Poland as it marks 100 years to the day that Poland regained independence after the defeat of Germany, Russia and Austria in World War One.

A march in Poland to celebrate the centenary of the country's independence has been overshadowed by the participation of far-right groups.

Nationalists were among thousands of people to join celebrations in the capital, Warsaw, which were being led by President Andrzej Duda.

Opposition parties boycotted the march.

It comes as French President Emmanuel Macron urged world leaders marking the centenary of the World War One Armistice to reject nationalism.

Most participants in today's march in Warsaw were seen carrying Polish flags and wearing red-and-white armbands, but some were holding banners representing far-right parties from Poland and Italy.

President Duda had said he wanted the march to be a proud and joyful celebration and warned that anyone carrying offensive banners or chanting the types of slogans heard at last year's event - such as "Pure Poland, white Poland" - would be dealt with by the police.

We don't seem to be learning lessons from history alas.

As far as politicians go in Britain, many deserve being described 'an absolute disgrace' more than Corbyn. Cameron and Osborne - the architects of never ending austerity on the poor, and the greatest schism in UK life with their referendum. Theresa May and her hostile environment, which brought misery to thousands of Windrush and other people - all to hit an arbitrary immigration number. IDS, who waged war against disabled people, unemployed people, and poor children. Andrew Lansley and Jeremy Hunt - who between themselves left the NHS in a mess. Phil Hammond, who sided with betting companies against people with gambling addictions. And for balance, Nick Clegg and Vince Cable for backing much of this. All the Labour MPs who voted with the government for welfare cuts. Tony Blair and the others who so vociferously campaigned for the Iraq War. Gordon Brown, who didn't take the opportunity to properly regulate our financial system when he had the chance. I could go on and on, but you'll notice that I'm giving you fairly concrete reasons for their candidature as 'absolute disgraces to the country' The people I've nominated have caused death and or misery by their actions.

In contrast, wearing 'scruffy' clothes, or talking to enemies of Britain to bring about peace just doesn't register on the scale.

Is it just me, or does Corbyn, especially in that old interview, sound uncannily like Fred Kite from ‘I’m Alright Jack’?

‘Have you ever been to Russia, Mr. Kite?’
