Absolute joy to watch is this but heart breaking ahead of kick off seeing Lenny struggling to walk.

Fair play to Dyche for taking time out from his day job to do some defensive coaching with the Burnley lads

Re: Burnley v Swansea Updates
Sounds like the defences are on top of their game! Or are they both playing a 0 0 10 formation!

Re: Burnley v Swansea Updates
Think I noticed a tweet about someone donating £500 per Lee Trundle goal (up to 5). Could have been £50.
Fantastic effort by the former players of both clubs.

Re: Burnley v Swansea Updates
It was all slow motion and I think some of our pens were soft.
Highlight had to be Paul Cook playing a poor ball to Micky Mellon. He laughed at him, waved to the crowd and walked off. We didn’t see him again until he walked back on at the final whistle.
Lovely day but so difficult to see Lenny like that.

Re: Burnley v Swansea Updates
Sounds like a good day...shame I could not go as would like to have seen Glen and Robbie in particular.
Lenny was at the golf day in Preston a few weeks ago and it was emotional for us all to see him like that but he was cracking jokes and also made a point of coming to our table (and all the other tables) to thank everyone personally.
He did a great interview this week for BBC for the north west news - not sure if its still on player but well worth a watch.

So sad for Lenny,Great turnout today, could not be there,Out of interest, did the two Andys play,Payton and Cooke, they would have both scored !All The Best Lenny,Keep Fighting,Like You did on the pitch.
Re: Burnley v Swansea Updates
A brilliant afternoon. Fantastic to see so many of his former teammates together playing in the Claret and Blue one last time.
Extremely touching to see his primary school class give him a guard of honour.
Well done to my Auntie Veronica Simpson and her team for organisation alongside Steve Davis.

Re: Burnley v Swansea Updates
As CT says, very tough seeing Lenny struggle to walk on to the pitch, what a truly horrendous condition MND is
The game itself was exactly what you wanted/expected. Super Glen still had some tricks in his locker, as did Robbie. Lee Trundle was ridiculously good, as was Britton and Robinson. Good to see Stan and Flynny too. All in all, it was a good do which, hopefully, raised a decent amount of money.

Exactly? I'm going to take Mark Halsey to task for blowing early in the second half. I think we could have gone on to win it.Goodclaret wrote:As CT says, very tough seeing Lenny struggle to walk on to the pitch, what a truly horrendous condition MND is

Re: Burnley v Swansea Updates
Ha ha. I've already tweeted him asking if he could ref a couple of PL games for us. We may, just may have a chance at getting a penalty. He was very good and has said how much he enjoyed it. Seems a good guy.ClaretTony wrote:Exactly? I'm going to take Mark Halsey to task for blowing early in the second half. I think we could have gone on to win it.
