In my 50+ years of watching, I'll second that.
The thing is, as someone on coms said, they can play better.
And they still murdered Utd.

It must be easy though when they got an open cheque book to sign the best players in the world, great side yes, but it would make it more interesting if it was a level playing field in the premier league & give the likes of us a genuine chance of beating them more regularly..

They're getting better every season under Pep. But it still has to be done - to win the Champions League and beat the likes of Juventus/Real Madrid/Barca in the final.

That was the beauty of the 1959/60 season, a level playing field and we were the best.

For now, I wonder if Pep fancies some playing time for Danilo in January, or even Kompany for that matter. Or Valencia from the other side of the city.

Europe is the standard by which City will ultimately be measured. They have to break the Spanish stranglehold on the Champions League to truly be considered a world football superpower.

I watched the Arsenal V Wolves game on sportsmania, wolves should have won about 5-1. Arsenal were crap and scored with a freak goal

I thought United did a job on them and made it a drab game, 9 defenders in place for the first hour made it hard for City to create as many chances as they normally do.

City kept at it though and won easy in the end.

United fans unhappy at not attacking City, but Jose wouldn't risk getting hit for 8.

Utd will NOT win the league whilst Jose is there.

He hasn't got what it takes anymore to get the job done and it's not like he hasn't had money to spend.

Best side ever? Nowhere near.

Real Madrid of the last 3 or 4 years much better. Will anyone ever win so many champions leagues in a row again?

Yet they'd scored twice by then....

Yeah they had, but the only chance United had against them was to make it a physical game.

City would of put 6 past them in an open game.
