So let me get this straight I thought the de facto claim from remainers was that people didn’t know what they were voting for? They were uninformed? Now you are suggesting otherwise? Which is it too be?

Given how determined she is to deliver Brexit as she says, it beggars the question is there a bung on offer from the eu set up. Because as was said in the thatcher era she's definitely not for turning even at the risk of no deal which imo would be catastrophe, she is determined to deliver as she puts it, thing is as things stand it's hard to see her having that choice.

Keep spouting sh*te and make yourselves look even stupider, nobody voted to leave the EU without a deal.
I'm sure if I could be bothered I could go back through the posts of everyone on here claiming to have voted for no deal and find posts banging on about how the Germans need to do a deal with us to sell their cars and how easy it will be.
You've got your Brexit deal, when are the street parties?

God, another one.

Its really basic is this. I mean, we are going around in circles here.

Brexit in the form promised is undeliverable - everybody has accepted that

The Brexit that the ERG want is the unpromised, unelected, on no ones manifesto and no one voted for is the "No Deal"*

* I accept that some of you say you did.

This deal, this really bad one (but still better than "No Deal") is the best attempt to sort out avoiding economic collapse while respecting the wishes of the vote.

Anyone who says differently is very, very, very quiet when they are asked "what could you have done differently"

We've five months left. There won't be a better offer on the table and it solves the problem of businesses. No one will lose their jobs because of this.

Course, we could just remain and the same would apply! :-)

If you didn't care about the particulars of the deal back during the referendum you won't be caring now.

No way. I'm not quiet. Nationalize and rationalize the car industry with restrictive import conditions.

1. No computers in cars.
2. No sat navs in cars.
3. Max speed 105 mph.
4. No blacked-out windows

We face car Armageddon, the four horses of the apocalypse are Mercedes, BMW, Audi and VW.

It's the world biggest industry and it is a simulacrum of advancement, with over-developed vehicles and a cartel-fix repair industry. It is the vanguard of Gotham City ape mobile culture, with trout-lipped 'mouths,'flange nostril headlights and muscly haunches for the nouveau riche peasant rule. It is the vanguard of prat status and Uber Alles advertising.

No Deal Brexit and smash the German car industry and the import/immigration/economic growth mentality to reverse engineer 'growth culture' because we have 12 years left to stop irreversible global warming.

A sort of Trabant ethos with a range of sensible easy to maintain and fix cheap cars, classy design etc. to reverse the pillock status 'Age of Conceit' junk era and create a viable export product also for the developing world if need be.

That's just one industry. Get creative folks, get innovative and we'll rebuild this nation on rock 'n' roll instead of Euro Pop.

Westminster rumour: Chris Grayling and Penny Mordaunt tipped to resign by the end of the day will there be anybody left in the cabinet.

Writing's on the wall for May.

For what it's worth, I can't find a Tory MP who thinks the 48 no-confidence letters aren't already with the 1922's Brady. And surprising people are telling me they will vote against her, if (when?) it comes to it.

From Robert Peston on twitter, tuesday looks like the decisive day for a leadership challenge.

This has been brewing since Chequers and Theresa's stubbornness may prove to be her downfall.

Actually, unless the ERG has quadrupled in size in the last 24 hours, its maximum amount is about 45 MPs.

Remainer Conservative MPs won't vote against TM, so it depends on the moderates, both remainer and Brexiteer.

If they don't unseat her remember, she is safe for another year which would torpedo the ERG having any influence ever again.

Completely depends on how much you read of the government advice on it to be honest.

Completely depends on how much notice you took of Brexiteer MPs and supporters who promised SM access, CU access, easiest deal ever

Completely depends on whether you understood that its not just about a CU, or an SM, that there are literally thousands of other UK-EU projects

Basically, completely depends on what you personally voted for.

The point I'm making is that T-rex stated nobody voted to leave without a deal. Categorically we can say 52% of the voters stated that they wanted to leave the EU. After that, the breakdown of those who voted to leave with a deal, without a deal or just because they fancied WW3 which was promised by Remain, is down to opinion.

Foe me the whole Brexit issue was messed up by the Tories following
the referendum result.

They were so surprised at the result they couldn't even elect a pro Brexit
leader and May was probably the best of a bad bunch and has done what she can
within an impossible situation.

What will happen now? More than likely May's deal will be voted down in
Parliament and then May may have to either resign or be voted out unless she can
go back to the EU and get a few more concessions which is highly unlikely.

Who will replace her and what will they do if she is challenged?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Another general election may be the most likely but that may not result
in a clearer picture or way forward.

It's a mess, a great big mess and I just can't see a way out if it.
It's pretty depressing and the country seems even more divided than it was in
2016. Personally I can't see any new Tory leader (whoever it may be) doing any better
and we look to be heading towards a no deal at a pretty rapid pace.
If that happens then there will have to be a border between Ireland and Northern Ireland
and we will be entering a period of total chaos and confusion.

Maybe we need a revolution?

There should be a rule that they have to answer questions put to them, as if it were in court.

Hello Clegg Hall..

I watched it as well..and I thought pretty much the opposite!

- and I'm no fan of hers or the Government.

She's got some balls I'll give her that..very defiant and resilient - she is going to see it through.

I thought she did well against all those journalists, bearing in mind she spent three tough hours this afternoon in the Commons batting off aggro from all sides..
- she barely had a friend in there.

[some prattish journalist asked her if she was having difficulty replacing those who'd resigned earlier today...she pointed out that she'd had rather a busy day...way busier than his I bet..]

The 'Deal' will not get through the Commons..

If/When the leadership challenge comes..she will win it, whoever the challenger is...[ Davis, Johnson, Mordaunt.... she's a 'Johnny Come Lately' if ever there was one, is she going to resign ?... Fox or any of the rest....]..Where is Michael Gove ?

I think he will be PM - just not yet.

May is a fighter and I think she will hang on until next March.

To May's credit she got some bottle sticking this out. She's in an impossible position as would ANY leader trying to deliver this. (can you imagien for 1 min Corbyn,Abbot and McDonell negotiating for the UK)For what it's worth "her deal" isn't THAT bad but then again it's not THAT different to what we already have. Her problem is she is devoid of charisma and just can't seem to get big hitters on her side. She came to power on a "Maggie light" ticket and was rumbled quicker than Jelle Vossen. The Tory vultures are circling quite happy to destroy their own party for their own shot at power. Meanwhile the hideous cabal of Labour/Lib/SNP are wet with the prospect of utter chaos and a "govt without power" to force what would be a horrible election

The deal on offer is not far from being a way forward. The solution is pretty obvious really. Its heading for no deal and not even the EU want that. At some late point they will probably agree something better to deal with Raab's 2 spot on concerns.

For the EU to expect a government propped up by the DUP to agree the current deal is arrogance of the highest order.

It isn't the EU's fault no f*cker in England can get on the same page, let alone the UK, any more than it's B&Q's fault a bloke and his missus can't agree on which colour to paint the living room.

i'm almost wishing i didn't vote leave now. i didn't want to see our fellow claret remainers suffering like this. gotta feel sorry for 'em. if brexit goes ahead they'll suffer every day for the rest of their lives. and it will be all our fault. and what a load of nasty, whinging, vindictive bunch of losers it's turned them into. i didn't vote for that! claret on a trex has now moved into first place in the 'who's gonna blow a gasket first' marathon. bord'o second and lancaster might be vying for third place with a number of others. pre brexit he seemed pretty chilled but he's upped the stakes and his blood pressure in the last two years or so. medevac is still on standby and local icu's prepped for any number of casualties.

should have voted for Brexit, any Brexit that means we stop being Barnier's bitches and Junker's junkies.

Fed up of reading this rubbish of her ‘steely resolve’ or having ‘bottle’. She has only remained PM as no one else from any party would be stupid enough to want to take this mess on!

She's trying to make a silly plan so that it will fail and then they can stop Brexit because they can't work it out.

It's like a naughty child building a way of being around protecting a lie.

She's trying to please others rather than setting out England's interests and then everyone has to adjust to our way. No compromises.

In woodwork, you cannot measure something from every angle, so you start off with a face side and a square edge and go from there.

It's all about the Good Friday Agreement which has damn all to do with England.

I demand a vote as an Englishman, to kick N.Ireland out of the Union.

Things have moved on. They can't expect a soft border with a foreign state. It's madness. They have no conviction and are kow-towing to backward peasants from the bog, our whole nation.

It needs a man with conviction and a Brexiteer with a vision to have the ruthless statesmanship and tenacity to see this through.

I hope she goes today.

She should never have been appointed.
Wow. I mean wow. No such soveriegn state as England. Its UK.

yes I do, as it happens. it's the study of arses . i'm sure you and your mirror are more familiar with that particular study than I. ps my reply clearly proved I knew it was an analogy but i guess it went over your head! hasn't Trump upset you today? I couldn't see a post about him from you?

Also interesting that it needs to a man with conviction, rather than a person.
