Padiham FC today

Post by Funkydrummer » Fri Nov 16, 2018 2:20 pm

Anyone planning on attending tomorrow ?

They are at home to The City of Liverpool, KO 1500 hrs.

Good honest footy, some good beer, good pie and peas and good banter - what
more could you ask for ?

NOT A PENNY OF YOUR GATE MONEY GOES TO SCUDAMORE EITHER (as far as I am aware) ;) ;)

Good on you, looks like it's going to be a lovely day to catch some fresh air.

Liverpool are unbeaten and are top of the league, so promises to be a good game.

There's two of us going, so that's at least a crowd of three. :D

Anyone else attending ?

Four and counting - let's see if we can reach double figures.

The city of Liverpool are quite well supported so should be a bumper gate.

But if they start singing that 'You'll never walk alone shite' then they will be rolled down the hill past the Hare n Hounds faster than a ferry can travel across the Mersey.

The two of us became three and, despite Padiham losing 1-0, it was an enjoyable afternoon's football.

. thought it was a tough afternoon for Padiham. He expects City of Liverpool to comfortably win the division.

Really enjoyed the afternoon in the sun and fresh air. As said previously, it was quite
a tough afternoon for The Storks, but they put up a good fight against a very good side
who should win that league quite comfortably I would have thought.

Good to see a decent turnout as well.

Two pints of Reedley Hallows "Armistice" ale and pie and peas complmented the afternoon
perfectly.

The best match I've seen up the Arbories football wise. Both sides playing football all game. Good advert for the level.
Padiham had a glorious chance when the forward lobbed it over the bar when one on one but overall were 2nd best.
A good crowd on with good away following and plenty of songs in the pub afterwards.

Went up Holt House to see Colne beat Leek Town 3-2 in a feisty encounter. Would have probably been about 3 cards if it were a Premiership game! As others have said it's quite nice going to non league games for a change from going to these soulless modern stadiums that are half full of tourists.

I saw this City of Liverpool team play West Didsbury & Chorlton the other week.
They are quite good and top of the table.
It will be a good and tough game for Padiham.
Best of luck Padiham.
