I'm quite impressed by the calibre of celebrities they've got this year. Usually I've only heard of 1 or 2 at the start of the show, but this time I'm familiar with half of them.
Nick Knowles is my early favourite for king of the jungle.

He certainly handled the creepy crawlies well last night. Unlike that young Hollyoaks lad, who was screaming like a little girl.

During every advertisement break they still try and fit in as many ads to encourage online gambling on bingo and tombola etc. The programme even has a gambling site as a main sponsor.

I mean that's true, but it's not exclusively an issue with this show. Gambling ads are prevalent nowadays in everything. Half the Premier League has a betting site on their shirts.

Heaven help him if he has to do a bushtucker trial,i thought Emily coped admirably with those pesky snakes last night, bizarrely it's usually the females who show more gumption during the trials, probably why recently they have been winning a lot.Falcon wrote:He certainly handled the creepy crawlies well last night. I also reckon that Ann will be fine tonight. She wasn't perturbed by sticking her arm in with the spiders and crabs during the head to head trial.

You're right. She comes across as very agreeable and looks to be up for the trials.
Nick and Harry could have a chance if they keep being involved and getting screentime.
The portrayal and story the producers want to put forward is so crucial though.
Other thoughts...
John could be this year's Biggins
Emily could be this year's Scarlett Moffatt
Rita could be this year's Charlie Brooks
All three are kings/queens of jungle precedents

Well watched the last 3 nights and it's bloody rubbish, one of the most boring ever not helped with all the ads either, it just makes it worse.
They all appear to getting on at the moment and probably on their best behaviour, lets hope things spice up a bit and they start falling out and bitching to make it a little interesting.
Definitely not watching tonight, will be watching apprentice. I hope things hot up on Thursday or I will be turning over

Story running on the BBC News website "number of child gamblers quadruples".
It's not really rocket science that if you bombard children with betting advertisements during family entertainment shows (many of which are sponsored by gaming companies) then you are laying the foundations of a gambling culture.
In this country we always tend to take action AFTER the event as has proved to be the case with FOBT machines in betting shops.

I think I'm completely the opposite of Top Claret in my opinion on it then.
I hate it when there's a massive falling out between two contestants. It becomes the main story of the show for half a dozen episodes, nobody else gets a look in and one of them will be doing all the trials. Just want to knock their heads together.
I like a united camp where the entertainment comes from their interactions against the adversity that the experience and trials put them up against, rather than bitching at each other.

I reckon the barrow man will get a good number of stars, whilst screeching show tune lyrics the whole way through.

I think to be fair to I'm A Celeb although you could class it as family entertainment it is aired after 9pm so it is aimed at a certain demographic of a family. However regardless of the programme the Betting Ad market as spiralled way out of control and almost certainly now requires legislating.kentonclaret wrote:Story running on the BBC News website "number of child gamblers quadruples".

Its my guilty pleasure this show though and this year has been great.
Knew barrowman would get all the stars. He couldnt not. And emily was class on the first trial. I definitely couldnt have done that one and thats what i like about this. In 2 days she had jumped out of a helicopter and been in a snakepit with 40 snakes.
Most if not all are likeable and good characters.
So far think James and Maliq are a bit boring. Although James seems a decent, genuine lad. Think Noel is going to rile Maliq and John. Think one or both will crack. And there is something Im not sure about with Sair.
Harry is great entertaiment. Think its between him, Fleur and Nick to win. Think it will be those with Rita and Emily the last 5.
You can see Annes a nice lady. But I think the public will tire of her being exempt from most trials, not staying in on the ones she can do and struggling in general.

this is vile, another **** packed ITV show for the simon cowell generation.
Vaccuous pap presented by gobshites , including the hideously untalented holly willoughby and that tit from byker grove.

Meercats adverts probably make you split your sides laughing too.

Absolutely cracking episode last night. Noel Edmonds is nailing this emperor role to a tee.
Shaping up to be my favourite series ever if it carries on this well.
Think Holly has now settled in well after being a bit awkward in the first few episodes.

I can't say I'm a fan of John Barrowman (hence the OP), but overall, they seem a good bunch.
