Claret on the run

Post by claretburns » Tue Nov 20, 2018 4:31 pm

Burnley fan Scott Cunliffe is running to all the away games this season: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46258278" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Does anyone know of a donation page? Would happily donate a few pounds.

It's a shame the BBC article doesn't include a link to the Just Giving page.

Just what he's managed to achieve up to now is fantastic but to do it for every away game will be some achievement! Deserves all the funding support he gets.

His twitter feed has been brilliant throughout the season tracking his runs. Maybe a few Clarets can get on board for Hudds/United away to join him?

Why do they constantly refer to him by his surname? Could they not just call him Scott. :|

Is it really a stretch for our players to manage to donate £1000. each (tax deductible for them ;) )
No big deal for them really is it?. (50% is back to the the BFC community fund anyway).
Maybe the Club should be backing this a bit more?
I'm sure Someone has the links to other forums that can push this harder,
this year West Ham had a man a few months ago who shuffled across London in a wrong shirt that raised thousands from teams of all levels by targeting message boards.

Players of all teams should step up really.
Phenomenal challenge requiring a super phenomenal effort.

So it does. I stand corrected. Not the most obvious though as Leisure says.

You're right. Wasn't he a Millwall fan who wore a West Ham shirt or something like that? Remember him doing well by going all over various forums.

Just a bump for this....
https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ ... ychallenge
Spread the link to other message boards.
and on Tw@tter etc.

I'm still not sure why any players have not stepped up for this yet?
Car shopping maybe?

Absolutely amazing achievement. I'm sure he is half machine, half human?! :) I, literally, have no idea how someone can do something like this.

I first read about this today on a French website. Have now looked at the BBC article.

Anybody doing something like this deserves all the respect in the world. Simple as that. The fact this gentleman (yes, he deserves to be called a "gentleman" in my humble opinion) is a Claret makes me enormously proud. There's so much mud thrown at the town it's tremendous to know it's a local gentleman is doing this truly amazing feat.

Total respect.
