FactualFrank wrote:Hi Indigo. I've enjoyed the Championship this season. It's so close that 9 or 10 teams could realistically make the playoffs.

Do you think SD will stay if (when) we go down? Will he have another Championship season fight in him?
Hi Frank. Yes, it's a really tough and competitive league where anything can happen. Of course, I'd rather we were in the PL but it's just that I won't be terribly upset if we're relegated. I just feel we can't complain - last summer was our best ever chance to really push on and upgrade the team and I don't think we did that (not knocking the signings we've made, just that I feel we should have done more).

Honestly, I don't know if Dyche would stay. On the one hand, how many better offers is he going to get? He's got fantastic job security with us and gets huge input in all areas. On the other hand, you could see a big city club coming in for him - maybe he'd consider it time to move on, I don't know. What do you reckon? I wish I could put my finger on what is wrong at the moment. I've said a few times this season that I don't see this as a SD Burnley team - I just don't see that same commitment and passion.

positioning is so ******* wrong, Taylor and Brady and standing on each others toes, Wood and Vokes are aimless, Lennon wants to play CM

Let's not forget, this on the back of an International break where we've heard "the lads have had some great training sessions"

I really thought we'd turn up tonight but this is the worst performance I've seen by any PL team so far this season. ZERO quality

Better. Shows IF we deliver the ball in and around the box we can score. We don't do it anywhere near enough.

I stand by what I said, DYche keeps screaming at Lennon to play wide because he refuses too, Taylor and Brady are tripping up over each other.

A punt up front and a great header doesn't change that. We've had loads of possession and created nothing.

Wood off Vydra on at half time for me

No, there is a difference in the areas you can clip a ball. More often than not it's too square, in behind the opposition defence in an area we have no mobility. If we're delivering decent crosses, or the punt from Mee into a dangerous area I.e in or around the box when we have committed bodies then we'll create.

Box to box we’ve knocked it around well, but we’re still massively lacking creativity in the last third. Well take goal but he should never be scoring from there.

well it hasn't and that's why loads of us said in the summer we needed to improve our midfield. It was blatantly obvious that that's the way the PL was going to be this season.

Anyway, we got a lifeline so let's see what happens in the second half

We look good when we cross the ball but so far
Lowton 6
Brady 2
Lennon 1
We shouldn’t rely on Lowton as our main creative option

We look a proper team when we knock it about but somehow we revert to type. I mean WTF 2 short corners and 2 goals. Pathetic

We haven’t got a wideman on the bench so Barnes for Brady for me.
Brady is just not match ready. Every aspect of his game is off his best and the header for the corner that led to their second was just embarrassing for a professional.

Like you say, he's got a secure job. No way - and rightly so - are our board going to sack him. He's done very well overall and we've gone from "Burnley?" to "Burnley - ah yes, the football team". My point being, he's put us on the map.
