Its time it went bust

Post by Untinted Glasses » Tue Nov 27, 2018 12:44 pm

Its time the premier league went bust. I personally hate the league. All teams are trying to do is survive. It's so negative. Its actually ******* ****.
Used to love going on in the old third and fourth division watching us try to attack ( attack, attack, attack attack attack ) now its just defend and try and nick a goal. I used to hate watching the channel 4 italian stuff when that started and here I am watching Burnley adopt the same tactics.

Its **** and we are just making the numbers up. I understand we are just all chasing the money, but **** it , i hope we get relegated 2 divisions and become Burnely again. The Burnley I used to love watching.

I hate the way the pundits say burnley are a discredit to the league , NO let me tell you its the premier league thats a discredit to football .

Wake up .

I cant believe people thought I was kidding/fishing with this thread. Its an absolutely shite / overrated league. If your one of the top 4 then yes whipping teams like us each weak my be comforting however to the rest its just absolute pointless. A survival game. Never mind them wanting to form a break away, we should feck them off.

Its a bag of shite and the sooner we are out of it the better

The top flight has been dominated by a small number of teams for decades, even before the PL was made.
Devils Advocate summed it up nicely recently.

The only thing that changes is which teams are in the group dominating it.

Not sure why anyone would expect any different, but then most people who're getting nostalgic tend to forget things like that.

Try remembering how things were before the extended stay in the prem, turf moor, gawthorpe, and the team itself.Thank you Mr dyche.

Championship is far more entertaining. Surrounded by many plastic and foreign fans today more interested in their smartphones

Our time in the prem has been great for the club...its secured the next 15 years however theres comes a point when getting battered each week is no fun.....the championship is our natural home with occasional sojourns into the prem as the best you can hope for league wise

The championship is more entertaining because of an equal chance of relegation or promotion.

That's why it's a better league to watch.
The top flight doesn't have that and that leads to a glass ceiling for many clubs.

However it's where the money is and without it Burnley would eventually drop out of the championship.

I totally agree about the structure of the Premier but as for going back to playing in the lower leagues again then no thanks, done that and prefer being in the top division where Burnley were when I started supporting them.

The week of the Orient game is one I have no wish to repeat thank you very much!

If its the best league in the world surely it should attract the best players in the world.
So 13% UK goals when we are 0.87% of global pop and not won a world cup in donkey's... Not doing to badly.

But yes Johnn Foreigner to blame for all Burnley's ills.

I just miss the days when football wasn't dominated by corporations.

Sounds like commie talk!
If teams are poor its because they haven't worked hard enough...

Football at all levels in this country was on it's backside before the Premier League brought it out of the doldrums. The standard was poor except for the top few clubs, crowds were down in most grounds.

The game is now awash with money, especially the Premier League. It is there to be spent in order to compete but agents and wages are to blame, not the Premier League and Sky.

We have equal opportunity to recruit players from around the globe. We ignore players with pace and technical excellence through choice, be they home born or not.

You reap what you sow.
