Re: Championship on red button tonight
Although MM didn’t have them bottom when he left I think the thought from Clarets comes from the upcoming fixtures, which could possibly see us bottom of the table, and the fact any new manager needs a couple of weeks to assess the squad before deciding who we need in January. Remember OC leaving after a week of the transfer window and us making a mess of things?Clarets4me wrote:Ipswich 6 points adrift now at the bottom, having binned " dull " Mick McCarthy towards the end of last season .....

Really don’t want Dirty Leeds coming up.
Don’t mind them getting to Wembley and losing 1-0 to Bristol City or Shef. United with a late goal.

That's the worrying thing Hampstead, they seem to score lots of late goals, not concede them. But agreed , would be nice if that was the outcome.hampsteadclaret wrote:Really don’t want Dirty Leeds coming up.

Leeds are going up, I've never been surer. As I've mentioned before, when they drop points, the other teams in the main, also drop points, doing them a favour.
Bristol City seem to be the form team though so hope they can creep into the top 3-4 and provide more competition.

Keep strong Frank, all's not lost yet. Plenty of time for them to balls up.

Their nearest rivals aren't consistent enough, that's the problem. They aren't great, but there's not 2 teams consistent enough to finish above them.Aclaret wrote:Keep strong Frank, all's not lost yet. Plenty of time for them to balls up.

So the horse fiddlers were getting a bit giddy earlier this season, Mowbray was this, Dyche was that...
They’ve now lost more this season (11 in 32 games) than our Sean has at that level over 2 seasons- (10 in 92 games!).

1 win in 15 before tonight for Reading, just a shame Rovers have a cushion to the bottom 3,their season is over before Valentine's Day,unless they hit a purple patch.

Re: Championship on red button tonight
I think this is the first weekend this season that Leeds nearest rivals have all won. Now, Leeds have a gimmie against Bolton on the 23rd - you can easily put your house on it, but I guess at least Norwich and Sheffield United have improved their GD with two 4-0 wins. Leeds will win their game in hand though, guaranteed. They'll go up due to not enough solid competition. People say the Championship is getting stronger - is it b0llocks.Aclaret wrote:Come on Frank, we've got to keep believing they can still balls this up. Re: Championship on red button tonight
No real stand out team in Championship this time is there.
I expected more from the likes of Villa, WBA, Stoke, Hull, Swansea and a few others.
I'm still hoping for a twist at the end of the season in that Leeds f**k up big time.

WBA are coming up on the rails they are definitely in with a shout of an automatic place,Stoke and Swansea have flopped big time even the play-offs are a long shot for either now.Aclaret wrote:No real stand out team in Championship this time is there.

Villa could struggle to get out of the Championship for a few seasons yet, their big chance was last year.
Agree on anyone but Leeds but they seem to dig results out when needed.
Tough run for them in March though,WBA,Bristol City and Sheff Utd to play in a short time span, hopefully this set of fixtures will derail their promotion bid.
Tough games on the horizon for the Blades,West Brom and Leeds away in the coming weeks,if they are still in the top 2 after the Leeds game they could stay the course.

You could say it’s getting stronger as those chasing automatic promotion can’t put a run of wins together?FactualFrank wrote:I think this is the first weekend this season that Leeds nearest rivals have all won. You can't if you watch Championship football. I love to watch it as there's quite a lot of close matches. But the quality is decreasing. The reason why they aren't putting a run together is because they aren't good enough.Dyched wrote:You could say it’s getting stronger as those chasing automatic promotion can’t put a run of wins together?
Re: Championship on red button tonight
QPR v WBA on sky tonight for those of us without BT.
Should feature a certain Nahki Wells and also Jay Rod.
Could do with an away win here and put some pressure on Leeds.

Anyone watching this game on red button ?
What this camera work all about ? It's dreadful.
They use just the 1 camera that flies about zooming in and out then has to re focus.

Is it always as bad as this? As said above its dreadful. Poor commentary, poor camera work, no replays, not even of goals.
It's like going back twenty years.
