Re: Could Joe Hart be the main problem?
I just hope the club saw fit to add relegation clauses to the contracts so that if we are relegated they are on much reduced wages.
How many of them are worth retaining anyway?
If they don't want to play Dyche ball in the PL why should their attitude be different in the Championship?

Including Dyche but I very much doubt itkentonclaret wrote:I just hope the club saw fit to add relegation clauses to the contracts so that if we are relegated they are on much reduced wages.

Sorry my bad I was a few weeks out so tell me which stat tells you were not doing that bad:Tall Paul wrote:This is not true.
Why do posters keep misrepresenting stats to make it look like we've been doing worse than we actually are?
5 wins from December 12th to the end of last season
Or
7 wins within 90 minutes in nearly a year?

Both of them tell me were (sic) not doing as bad as you said when you misrepresented the stat.bumba wrote:Sorry my bad I was a few weeks out so tell me which stat tells you were not doing that bad:

Note that that doesn't mean we're doing fine, just not as bad as people like you are making out. The only stat that really matters is the number of points we end the season with relative to the other teams in the league. Since you want to look at the last year, we've gained 38 points in 38 games in that time, which would be good enough to stay up.

We did. Against Burton and Olympiakos. He was at fault in both games.Mala591 wrote:There is only one way to solve this ongoing 'debate'
Play Heaton for a few games and see what happens

Re: Could Joe Hart be the main problem?
Not a fair or true reflection mate, both games we played an “under strength” team as far as I recall. Though I do admit the goal that went through him at Burton was a mistake, but that does disappear with time playing - which he won’t get because Hart is “showboating” every game (tongue firmly in cheek, I know it’ll rile some...)cricketfieldclarets wrote:We did. Incredible save.

First Liverpool goal looked suspect. He walked to within 2 yards of it.ElectroClaret wrote:Incredible save.
Don't like keepers watching it go in.
Been good tonight though Burnley, no problem with that.
Looked to have fight in them, just 2 soft and avoidable goals Conceeded

Twice in two games he's just watched with no effort to save, like he doesn't do those kind of saves or they are beneath him. I sometimes think he's a paid actor, like the flap for cross goal at Fulham, headed goals right through his hands where he's just jumped up and let it in and at the World Cup in 2014.
Re: Could Joe Hart be the main problem?
All three went in down and to his left. City fans will tell you Hart is suspect down and to his left

My dad used to have a theory about this when we played junior football. He always said keepers struggled down low to their left and always put penalties theremdd2 wrote:All three went in down and to his left. City fans will tell you Hart is suspect down and to his left

Re: Could Joe Hart be the main problem?
Tough on Hart but I would like to see Heaton given a chance. Although Hart has made some fantastic saves I feel his presence in the box, dealing with crosses and high balls is lacking and puts the defence under more pressure than if Heaton was in organising the defence or Pope plucking anything in the box out of the sky.
