Afternoon from a cold dismal day in Derry, which pretty much matches my mood, desperately hoping we can get something from this game, anything!

Haven't got a problem with 4-5-1 but Wood has proved repeatedly that he can't and doesn't want to play the lone striker role.

I'm not feeling particularly confident. But fingers crossed we'll put in a performance today and get a result.

Palace have only scored 8 goals in 13 PL games this season. Unfortunately, we've conceded 27. Should be interesting! I'm surprised Zaha hasn't scored a fair few this season.

piston broke wrote:Surprised anybody is surprised. That looks like the away formation that stood us so well last year. Personally I’d have had Sam before Wood but SD knows.
COYC NNN.
I'm beginning to have doubts.
Wood is so lacking in confidence, he could have scored 3 on Monday. It's nice of SD to show faith, but its only good if Wood repays that faith. I just don't think he's got the bottle. If his first effort goes in, he might go on and get a hat trick , if his first effort misses I'd hook him straight away, because he can't handle the pressure. We are crying out for players to start showing they have the balls for the fight, all over the pitch.
I'm glad Hendrick is playing, but if he sets them out 4 4 2, with Hendrick playing behind Wood, he might as well have left him at Barnfield. And the love in with Jack (he can do no wrong) Cork, is just a nonsense. He's not stupid Dyche, so it has to be stubbornness.

On monday I saw the team and thought we'd get nothing, but prayed I was wrong. Todays team leaves me with the same feeling.

There’s no XI Sean could pick that would be acceptable in many people’s eyes.
People say 442 doesn’t work then complain
when we go 451. This line-up gets the best out of Defour (and Cork).
Wood is probably more mobile than Vokes in running the channels, a year or so ago when we were playing our best football in our Premier League reign, Wood was a menace getting in between central defenders, in fact barring the inclusion of Hart, Long and Brady, this was the team and formation that won with such style at Bournemouth exactly a year ago. Dyche is right to stick by his methods, get behind the lads !

The lack of Vydra in the squad stumps me! Why would you not have such a talent at your disposal?

If you asked any fan in the premier league, who's team was on a bad run, who do you want to play next? the answer would be unanimous.

Close for Palace after Zaha ghosts into the box and puts the ball across the face of goal. Palace player can't quite connect

Because we don't have the same energy and desire now (in my opinion).

Clear foul on Taylor and they score of the throw-in.
Harts fault. he should be behind that pea roller

Great.

It’s always players that haven’t scored for ages that score too.

We always look like we’re holding on. No attacking intent.

COME ON LADS!!!
