Who should be Captain?

This is not a knock Ben Mee thread. I’m just wondering if some player’s own game suffers when they also have this responsibility.

I’d prefer to see Ben regain his game and our defence improve. So if the Captaincy was passed on....who would you choose?

Tom seemed to handle the pressure last year, but clearly he’s not getting much playing time.

Unfortunately, we don't have many candidates. Ben Mee is the best we've got in terms of the players who are starting at present.

Ben Mee wads de facto Captain for most of last Season once Heaton did his shoulder. He seemed to do alright then.

We simply don't have a leader. Davies (2) Caldwell were leaders. Barton wasn't captain but he was a leader.

With the current tactics we employ being so archaic I suggest Captain Caveman.

The captain's role probably wasn't as important last season as everything was going well any everyone was playing at or near their best - the whole "11 captains" scenario.

This year it is more of a role as it would appear there are a number of players who need lifting/encouraging during a game. Those attributes are not obvious in Ben Mee. The additional problem is that sooner or later, if poor results and performances continue we have a £15M summer signing who might be a better option at CB.

Gibson himself might be captain material, don't see any other stand-out candidates amongst the outfield players - especially as it's difficult to think of any who are beyond being dropped baesd on the way they are playing.

Well he was Skipper most of last season hmmmm whats your point .........
Tom was injured nearly all of last season ffs from September on we had Pope in goal.

But I get your point.
I would stick with Ben tbh....
