Points In December
Out of interest how many points do you think we will get this month? I think we will get 4pts 1 on Sat and we will beat West Ham.

Re: Points In December
18 points up for grabs isn't it?
At least 12 points......
No seriously 9 points
OK ok a shot on target
No idea tbh. We're struggling big time. Last season I'd be hoping for at least 10 points, this season pffft.

I think if we only manage 3 or 4pts from 21 he will be gone, at the moment I am not for a change of manager but if this is the points haul for December I don't see any other outcome.

Re: Points In December
That's a tough one. I don't want to be too pessimistic but at the same time, I'd be deluded to think we're going to pick up many. I'll also say 4 points - I think we'll get a hard-earned draw as well as a lucky win somewhere.
Re: Points In December
Within our mini league of Hudds, Newcastle, Southampton, Fulham and Cardiff during December Hudds will play Newcastle, Fulham and Southampton. Newcastle are due to play Fulham and Southampton will play Cardiff so assuming those points are spread out it is no inconceivable that even if we only get say 4 points we may still not be adrift. If however we only get 4 points the match at Huddersfield will look like a must win game. If we lose that after 21 games with perhaps only 13 or so points we have to start preparing for the Championship and not shelling out big money for players in the January window.

Re: Points In December
I looked at this a few weeks ago and thought 5 points.
I have revised it to 7 points purely to pull myself out of the malaise but honestly think it could another winless month.

We need to get a few wins before they visit the Hospital or they’ll be booing them off the children’s ward.

Hope we can get 4 at least, but thats being optimistic, we wont be the only team struggling in the relegation zone.

Re: Points In December
This is tough. It's really hard to see where we're going to get points but let's try and be optimistic here.
Liverpool - on the face of it a no hoper but often we've done better against Liverpool of late, partly because they're not a side that dominates the ball like City or Arsenal; in addition there's less pressure as no-one is expecting anything - we play well and nick a point
Brighton - on the back of a decent performance we put in another decent performance and put them under the cosh - they're not really much different to us and we pip this 1-0
spurs - again a side we can do ok against and on the back of a couple of decent performances we have a good go and just lose out 2-1
Arsenal - they murder us 3-0 as per
Everton - on a good run and hard to beat but we manage to sneak a draw
West ham - we weren't far off getting something at London Stadium but for some unlucky breaks in the 2nd half. We weather a bit of storm int eh first half but sneak this 1-0
I make that eight. Being really optimistic. Pessimistically I would say 1 maybe 2 (two dull draws against Brighton and the Hammers). I think that shows how volatile this league can be outside the top teams. Sean needs to sort out the back line (i'd drop Mee to be honest - he's more often than not contributed to some of our worst performances and bring in Gibson) and give options to take the game to the opposition (Brady's not fully confident so Mc Neill and Vydra have to be in the mix somewhere - can't be worse than what we've seen so far) and rest Cork who has been awful all season.

Re: Points In December
Liverpool- will be on a high after Sunday's last gasp win, can't see anything here.
Brighton- really has to be 3 points, sooner or later we have to win a six-pointer.
Spurs- can't see anything here,if we come away with a narrow defeat that will build confidence.
Arsenal-they are flying this season Emery has made them a different animal,if we escape with a 2-3 goal defeat that would be acceptable.
Everton-they are erratic and Boxing Day throws up some freak results, can see us nicking a draw at least.
West Ham-have to win these home games against mid-table sides, think we'll edge it just but it'll be nervy.
That's 7 which should keep us in touch enough to give us a fighting chance, which is all we can hope for.

Re: Points In December
3 points with a lucky home win due to a team having an off day, come Huddersfield we will be well adrift whilst still persisting our rigid style an tactics are going to turn it around.
Dyche an Burnley have been sussed out and it's worrying we have no plan B or change to liven things up an shock teams it's Sunday league stuff
