Cruel in the extreme... I do hope the tourists injuries are not trivial.

If you travel to, say, India with a group like "Explore" this kind of tourist stuff is a complete no-no.

I have to admit the thread title filled me with some dread - I assumed it was one of our resident rednecks bemoaning the fact that "Sambo" was no longer an appropriate term.
An easy enough mistake to make on here but apologies nonetheless.

We are obsessed with the planet, greenhouse gasses and plastic (quite rightly) but still allow this disgusting sport to take place.

Surely more deaths in horse racing than any other sport. Let’s ban it

Sport of kings along with big game hunting on the back of an elephant.correct but it wont happen. Maybe this elephant has had a good life? Well fed and sheltered as opposed to being poached in the wild or one of the poor buggers working for logging companies.it certainly looked well nourished.

Quite a few people have died of heart problems after marathons too- they should be added to the banned list.

Then again, people usually choose to run marathons rather than being forced into them.

Quite few humans suffer death and serious injury as a result of the 'sport' of boxing. The difference here is that the sport is all about causing injury as its primary motive.

I was actually captain of my school's cross country team! I guess I enjoy suffering (I'm a Burnley fan after all).
