Ben won the ball cleanly. Gomez tripped over Ben’s trailing leg. No foul. No charge to answer. Simples!

I look forward to Klopp castigating one of his own players when they commit a similar, inevitable challenge.

Here’s wishing him a speedy recovery though.

Be surprised if it is anything other than a malleolar fracture of the fibula.

They are saying he's likely to be out for 6 weeks so it's hopefully not worst break you can have.

Shame for the lad, very unfortunate.

Klopp seems to think it was a dodgy challenge even though it was legal but I have no doubt sliding tackles will be banned in the near future anyway they way football is going!

I don't believe his leg is broken. The doctor who told him his leg is broken is paid to tell people their leg is broken so he's kinda biased. His wage depends on legs being broken so his opinion is hardly trustworthy.

He just needs a manager who believes that his leg isn't broken and he'll score a hatful of goals at weekend. What do 'doctors' know anyway.

Sorry didnt see your post and put something up myself.

Read it. Ben Mee, with a sliding tackle, bundled Gomez into the advertising hoardings according to Jim White in the Telagraph. Just not true as I saw it. his momentum took him there. Liverpool fans comments are ridiculous. One saying they sue Burnley. just shows how soft the game has gone and how,the players of these top clubs are. Diving is OK but a hard tackle isn't. Games gone soft.

What is Mee supposed to do let Gomez run through and score. Liverpool had one of fhe dirtiest players ever to play football a certain T SMITH.

Not only does Mee win the ball absolutely cleanly and fair and square, but it isn't even that close to Gomez's foot when Mee kicks it. It's Gomez's momentum which takes him flying over Mee and into the advertising boards. If anything it's the boards which are to blame! It's a freak accident imo. We actually put in far more "robust" challenges than that one and they were all fair too, even if a few inches either way they could have been red cards.

Great tackle.

Klopp should watch James Milner for a bit!
