Yellow vests good for them..
At last the middle classes are starting to fight back against the warped globalist agenda there’s far more to this than climate fuel tax it’s a reaction to corrupt governments and media trying to ruin countries this will spread like wildfire and they can’t say they weren’t warned.

Re: Yellow vests good for them..
It's the correct version of 'Won't'. There's only one O in 'will not' and it's not where the apostrophe puts it in 'won't.'
Be it not?
No. It be not.

Re: Yellow vests good for them..
Got caught up in this last Saturday on the motorway outside Eurotunnel. Both directions were shut down as the cops were chasing the frenchies all over both lanes - as they relish a little bit of civil disobedience.
Was stunned to see the locals in the traffic jam proceed to remove the central reservation barriers and throw them to the side (while being watched by the local gendarmes) and drive across doing a U-turn to go the other way down the motorway.
Can you imagine that happening over here? Outrageous behaviour!
Anyway we had some beer to drink in the bars in St. Omer so did the same.

Mental that anyone thinks that civil disobedience on that scale will either make things better or magically not affect them.
Fact is that whether it being paying for the NHS, or environmental protections, or whatever, then we are going to have to pay more for it.

Just a quick look online explains exactly why the French are putting on the yellow vests and kicking off it's hardly a secret ..

Right, so it's in France. Well that's start.
I don't expect to have to go searching myself to find out what a post is all about. Most people actually explain what they are referring to.

Vive la revolution

Look at it this way: Macron has cut benifits, raised tax on ordinary people, and reduced tax on the rich.

Can't knock the French, only people that can organise a proper protest/riot

Re: Yellow vests good for them..
You can knock the rioters though when they start killing people.Vegas Claret wrote:Can't knock the French, only people that can organise a proper protest/riot
The original protests succeeded. They got what they wanted. But now it's become an excuse by others for violence. They want higher wages and lower taxes and to achieve that they're rioting. This does nothing but damage their cause if that's really what their cause is because by continuing the rioting they tell the government that even if they get what they want they'll still find other reasons to riot.
But the violence France will see today is the difference between the far-right and anarchists who are doing this rioting, and the left-wing when they protest. These thugs go around vandalising and eventually they'll start killing. Whereas the left, when they protested for similar causes, would simply sit on the ground or build camps and occupy areas.
Maybe now some people will stop saying that both sides are equally violent. They're not. There's the violent lot who are being violent because they really like being violent, and then there's the peaceful lot who just want to have their protests.
I bet Hozz and Smudge are getting excited though. This stuff seems right up their street.
Re: Yellow vests good for them..
Rowls says everybody in France eats well so I can't understand why people are rioting because they're struggling financially. Odd.

Paris like a conflict zone as police, protesters clash
"Riot police have clashed in central Paris with "yellow vest" protesters who are staging another weekend of demonstrations against the high cost of living.
Police fired tear gas at hundreds of protesters who gathered near the famous Champs-Elysees boulevard and the Arc de Triomphe monument on Saturday.
More than 300 people were arrested at dawn as about 8,000 security forces were deployed in the French capital in anticipation of a major turmoil.
Across France, about 89,000 police have been deployed amid high alert ......

On Thursday, police arrested dozens of high-school students protesting in Mantes-la-Jolie west of Paris.
Images of detained students who were kneeling in mud with their hands behind their back or on the head, circulated on social media, and sparked outrage across the country. Footage shows children and teenagers, some reportedly as young as 12 years old....
The education minister, Jean-Michel Blanquer, said that the images had to be seen in the context of police responding to student violence. “There are shocking images because we are in a climate of exceptional violence."
More than 700 students were arrested across France on Thursday alone....

Apparently 'The Yellow Vest Manufacturing Company' have just received an urgent order for 17.4 million new vests

Clearly there are well read, intelligent, urbane people on this thread who immediately grasped that this was about the French riots and then there's the family cat!!!

Re: Yellow vests good for them..
The worst thing that can happen to France this weekend is if an Islamic terrorist gets involved in this protest. The security operation to protect these protesters must be huge. Which is kind of ironic.

I know i'm giving him an out here but sometimes i'll ask people, whose intelligence i don't respect, questions similar to Family Cat's question to see if they themselves have an idea of what they're saying.Corky wrote:Clearly there are well read, intelligent, urbane people on this thread who immediately grasped that this was about the French riots and then there's the family cat!!!
Edit: And sometimes i genuinely want to know their point of view. (Just in case anyone gets offended because i ask them "why?")
