You mustn’t watch many political debates on telly they are ALL as rude as feck. Andrew Pearce on Sky press preview is the rudest man I've ever seen. He will not let anybody get a word in.

Knocked his middle peg clean out a long time ago.

Has Campbell ever had an 'ordinary' job working with 'ordinary' people, or has he been just a professional politician all his life? Just asking as I genuinely don't know.

He made his start writing porn stories for top shelf mags, whilst he was at college. It’s all been downhill since.

Campbell was up against Matthew Goodwin. The latter is hugely impressive. One of the most articulate voices on why Brexit voters voted as they did. It was Matthew and three staunch Remainers, and they had no answer (which is why they won’t win, and the reason they are trying to camp in Norway rather than having a new vote).

To paraphrase “the reason you haven’t seen movement in the polls bar a couple of percent is because nobody on the Remain side has made any attempt to understand the non economic thinking of the average Leave voter, and then start a new conversation with them”. Great stuff.

I was going to say it must be 20 years now, but it’s actually 30 years (depressingly) since Campbell used to come through my turnstile every week and I looked after his kids while he bought his programme or refreshments. I used to like him. That was a long, long time ago.

If Campbell interrupted someone making a fair point, then he's out of order

If Campbell interrupted someone lying about something, then we need a lot more of that.

You can't argue that he's not a fan. Seem him at loads of away games, especially when we were rubbish.

He was rude, bullying and like a previous poster said .... can't abide with someone having a different view.

I was neither a staunch leaver or remainer at the time of the referendum but the more I hear the likes of AC the more supportive of the Leave camp I am and the more I'm against a 2nd referendum.

Can't stand these 'elite's' forever going on about how they can foresee the future and know "without any shadow of a doubt" what's best for the rest of us. (I remember him and Blair both saying that there was "absolutely no doubt about it that Sadam Hussain has WMD").

He wants a 2nd referendum because he knows that given enough scare mongering and doom and gloom predictions it is therefore inevitable and only human nature that enough people will have changed their mind about leaving. At least that is what he assumes. It's had the total opposite effect on me.

I'm a Tory and don't mind him too much. One can disagree with someone without hating them.

I think you'll find that the hard left hate him more than Tories do though.

I think we are on the plus side with him as a Claret even though I do not agree with all of his politics. I do not think he is necessarily rude even if some think he is. Last night I do not think it was rudeness but that is how it came over, but was just his hell bent belief in what will happen with a no deal Brexit. He believes (and I agree with him) that leaving the EU will be bad economically for us (the reason we went in was for the Economy). For those mainly blue collar workers who have been screwed by the loss of well paid hard working manual labour and "cheap"imported labour life in all probability will remain tough and will become tougher for many years. The loss of mining, shipbuilding and steel jobs has of course little to do with the EU.
So in asking for a second vote he is wanting those who voted out to consider if they still want out or accepting their standard of living will fall for an indeterminate time-is that price worth paying for restricting immigration.
I voted out because Europe in my opinion after decades of making war less likely is making it worse by the Germans screwing southern Europe and the move to a U.S.E will continue.
The science minister who resigned last week and he wants to remain, seems to have it correct in the way we have been booted out of Galileo is a taste of what the trade and other negotiations will be like.
For me the choice is now staying in as is or a complete break with all that ensues for sometime to come. Leaving and dealing with the EU will just end in tears.
I know how I would like to vote now-no change from last time-not sure for those a lot younger than me that I should stick to my guns.

If you fight with police you get arrested. Why do you think that is wrong?

Don't get me wrong, if the police overstep their authority then i'll join you in denouncing them but the article you linked says they "clashed with police".

I hope I never get to the stage where I can't recognise what an "elite" actually is.

Absolutely baffling that people on here rage against the elites while completely backing 100% other elites.

I'm no fan of Corbyn for example, but he's not the elite and he's threatening to shake it all up, but for some strange reason its Jacob Rees-Mogg and nigel Farage who have your interests at heart.

This the saddest thing about this to be honest.

Works fine for me too. you should see this when you add someone

and once you've selected yes i got a little circle for a sec or two before it added you. I've removed you again because i'm emotionally mature, but hopefully this helps solve whatever the problem you're having is.

I imagine if you have some kind of pop-up blocker on your computer or phone then it could stop the initial dialogue box popping up for you to select 'yes' on.

One of our own?

You align yourself with a man that "sexed up" a dossier that lead to the deaths of British soldiers ( really "our own") and 500,000 innocent Iraqi children if you want to.

I'll keep my distance from him. It'll save on the dry cleaning bill.....

Aye, you're just a lousy hypocrite, no doubt supporting the war completely then, shouting from the side-lines. Still, you've got the grace to admit you're a tosser so there's been some improvement.
Of course, your beloved Brexiteer politicians, you know, the ones who are traitors, stabbing the good folks of Britain and its democratic process in the back, aren't at all worthy of keeping a clean distance from...
