Brighton are having a very good season but have certainly not pulled up any trees. Wednesday, for us, was seemingly a huge and much needed improvement. The opposition have,I daresay, their two most influential players out. The apologists for our awful displays have oft cited `we are missing our two most influential players.` If we cannot use this opportunity against, let`s be fair, a pre-season relegation candidate, without their two key players and get 3 much needed points, we never will.

Time to show us Clarets that the endeavour from a few nights ago was not just for the occasion.

We can beat Brighton. We bloody well should beat Brighton and if you show endeavour from the off, the oft-maligned 12th man will rise to the occasion.

COME ON BURNLEY!!!!!

We don't have the right to be beating anyone.

We may score two but would be stunned if we scored more than two against a Brighton team that are very well drilled and have some decent players.

Ok, OK but if we can`t beat Brighton we are going down. Agree?

We're certainly not doing ourselves any favours.

Wednesday was a good performance but it comes off the back of still only two wins in the league stretching back to last season.

Statistically we're on target but games aren't played statistically or on paper.

We'll see what happens.

Don`t get me wrong...I have very little confidence in us beating Brighton. The performances I have witnessed this season have had relegation written all over them...truly shocking.

Play like we did Wednesday, fans turn up and make some noise, show some passion, then I'm quietly confident.

Can't stand Brighton and their self righteous plastic fans. Come on Burnley!!!

I'm sorry buy I simply don't share your enthusiasm. Yes the performance was better and it was Liverpool. But people have conveniently ignored that it was a Liverpool team that left out it's front 3 of Mane, Salah & Firminio, didn't start with either of their regular full backs and changes in midfield. And we still lost 3-1. We need more.

Don't get too excited about the performance on wed night klopp made 7 changes, that's tells everyone what he thought of Burnleys threat, picked a full strength team to play Bournemouth today, Brighton are no dummies and will be much more of a threat than Liverpool

And yet were still a stronger side than Brighton's first 11.

So is suggesting we only played better due to Liverpool making changes.

I have no reason to doubt your heading TRD but not sure on the score.

A repeat of the Liverpool performance and I really can't see Brighton living with us.

No I said it's debatable that the pool 11 was better than Brighton 11, stop fishing

And let's face it if you can't get up to play Liverpool you don't deserve to be a professional footballer

Yes no going to sleep at set-pieces and gifting goals,Brighton are decent in the air so let's hope we keep the ball on the floor.

We fulfilled the MINIMUM requirement on Wednesday. Have to do more today.

If we take the effort and commitment from Wednesday into it we've more than a fighting chance of 3 points.

COME ON BURNLEY!

So did we play better on Wednesday due to it being Liverpool, or because they made 7 changes?

Here's a nice spin - that we played better because Dyche made 5 changes.

If we go on the front foot from the off we will win, if not we will more than likely get beat.
It is all down to Dyche and his tactics. I would like to see Hendrick back in centre midfield, he has the legs the others have not
