I liked them when they were at the Goldstone and during the crisis years but they seem to have become a completely different club since the move to Falmer.

Truly amazing that a Brighton fan could call us for timewasting when Matt Ryan began his ridiculous time-wastingas early as the 17th minute.

Re: They Really Don’t Like Us, Do They?
He was at it from minute 1 as were the whole team. At goal kicks they set up spread across the width of the pitch before inevitably moving over to one side or the other to kill as much time as possible. Ryan’s took over 30 seconds to take each goal kick - I was revelling in our time wasting in the second half as that Brighton performance was Pulisesque.Cubanclaret wrote:Truly amazing that a Brighton fan could call us for timewasting when Matt Ryan began his ridiculous time-wastingas early as the 17th minute.

Re: They Really Don’t Like Us, Do They?
None of them seems to have noticed the high kick/blatant pen which Atkinson skated over. Yes, they had quite a lot of possession, but we defended well and basically they did f*** all with it. Don't blame us for that.
Re: They Really Don’t Like Us, Do They?
Brighton did very little except for when we sat deep and invited pressure. They’re deluded.

The lack of fans in the away end yesterday shows that they aren’t a big club and never will be. Absolutely miles bigger catchment area then we have yet they brought a similar number of fans as we would take down there. Tinpot plastics.

Can’t stand them. Every time we play them it brings
back memories of them stood on Brunshaw Road with their begging buckets in the 90’s. They just can’t get over Kurt Nogan.

To be fair, like on here, its the post by the clueless idiots that stand out.
Plenty on there admitting that we won fair and square.
And to be perfectly honest, fans of us, Brighton and Swansea are in a pretty unique club and should get on a lot better than we do, that is the clubs that have gone right down to the bottom to compete at the top end of English football.

Why doesn't she move out of Brighton then? Anyway I would be way more bothered if they did like us.
Re: They Really Don’t Like Us, Do They?
I thought we controlled the game until they brought on Murray who’s movement caused us problems. They had 10 mins at the end when we sat deep but that aside they were pretty poor and clueless in possession UTC

Just read this beauty in the comments section of the Telegraph and Argus:
Just wowAs to the so called penalty shout for them. The Burnley player deliberately tries to get his face as near as possible to Bissoumas boot to get a penalty and a booking. There was no contact at all, their player is a cheat. Bissouma wasnt even aware he was there, well done to the ref. But he should have booked their player for diving

That match reminded me of the Stoke game last year very scrapy but did what we had to gain the points
Brighton have been the worst to rock up so far this season by a mile
It was only in the last 10 mins of the game when they showed any threat and that was only because we were under so much pressure to hang on but Hughton thought otherwise

Yes..I certainly do. This is the sort of crazy delusion they are quite adept at if you have looked at their forum or the comments section of the Argus. Comments like that are commonplace.TheFamilyCat wrote:You really don't think he was being serious do you?
I understand your disbelief though and your desire to think it was tongue in cheek but history suggests otherwise.

My favourite part was an annoyed Murray kicking the ball off the pitch that got thrown back on from the crowd just to further delay the goal kick ...... but his kick didn’t go off the pitch so he had to run and kick it off again ... wasting even more timeJohnMac wrote:We don't time waste, silly little episode in the CFS aside, we jusr haven't mastered the art of taking a throw in yet.
If Ryan hadn’t been a pri(k for the match - they would have had an extra 5+ mins to try and get a goal.

Funny how they think they were the better team because of 62% possesion, don't they realise that is only because their keeper wouldn't lot the ball go for the first 30 minutes?

Re: They Really Don’t Like Us, Do They?
I don't think they will ever leave us alone.
When we drew 2-2 at their place, they completely ignored our perfectly good goal to go and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about Joey Barton.
I've nothing against them, but they are a tad obsessive about us. Quite right too to be fair, we got promoted as champions because we were better than them and have qualified for European competition and have tonnes of history.
What are famous for? Missing a chance in an FA Cup final?

Possession stats are calculated based on the number of passes completed not the amount of time a team has possession.yorkyclaret wrote:Funny how they think they were the better team because of 62% possesion, don't they realise that is only because their keeper wouldn't lot the ball go for the first 30 minutes?

Murray was given far more stick than Bong when he came on and near to the CF end than Bong, but I can't say I noticed any Boo's to Bong at all.lostinthegame wrote:Not particularly bothered by that as long as it wasn't racist.
I think we need a white Brighton player to grass up Jay Rod for something, so things can be evened out at the next Burnley v Brighton boo-fest and these seabird and pier-worriers can finally leave us alone.
But Ryan got the most for his time wasting.
Re: They Really Don’t Like Us, Do They?
Most of their second half possession consisted of passing it round the back for 10-15 passes before playing a long ball for Joe Hart to pick up. It'd be interesting to see the stats for possession in the opponents' half.yorkyclaret wrote:Funny how they think they were the better team because of 62% possesion, don't they realise that is only because their keeper wouldn't lot the ball go for the first 30 minutes?

Re: They Really Don’t Like Us, Do They?
They don't like us because they have now played us three times in the PL and have had 177% possession against our 123% --however, they have had 36 shots with just 5 on target compared to our 35 shots with 15 on target. Having said that there has only been 1 goal scored!! UTC!!
Mat Ryan was the MoM when we played them at their place in December 2017.
Saturday was the most possession they had had in the three meetings but they had only one shot on target ---good isn't it?
