Re: CFS facilities
Who's whining, you prick ?
I've just said I sit there and enjoy it. There are potential dangers there as there are, apparently, at other grounds but, as far as I know, we were talking about the CFS at the Turf sothat's what I commented on.
Arsebanditry of the highest order.

Get well soonMACCA wrote:Once again a lake outside the CFS as we exited. If I wasn't 6 foot tall I'd have needed a life jacket.
It really is appauling in there at the minute.
Can't here the tannoy
Its a squeeze for refreshments
Toilets are a disgrace
Lake outside the exit, can't not wade through it.
Pitch black, and trip hazards everywhere
I hope the club seriously look into improving the facilities, as there's better in league 2.
Potential death trap , but I'm sure it's all ok for those who don't sit in there, and it's not a serious situation until a something serious happens.

Jesus you all wanted to go in there.
What a fantastic job they did with the roof a few years back.
Regarding the future, to get a new stand, we need to stay in the Prem

I think you may need to revise your choice of footwear unless you have a pair of x trail gore-tex go faster type you are going to have wet feet for a few months.Quickenthetempo wrote:The puddles are just as bad on entering the CF stand. On complaining to a steward he said work had only just been completed on clearing the ground. Presumably trying to level it out more.
Can really do without wet trainers when it's cold.
I swear I came home in an Ark last night

Please can you get me some tarmac !Quickenthetempo wrote:It would take about £100 worth of tarmac to level the puddles out and make the water drain away.
If Andy Holt was our chairman and seen the complaints it would be fixed before the next home game.
I don't mind the basic facilites as it keeps prices down but there's no excuse for not having safe access and egress to the stadium.

I feel your pain, Macca. Three points ruined by a puddle. This reminds me of the time when our 2009 play-off Final was utterly ruined by a tepid pie.

No points ruined by any puddle young Billy, if it had put even a slight dampner on my day, I'd have not walked the 2 and a bit miles home after.Billy Balfour wrote:I feel your pain, Macca. However the damp cold feet only added to my experience during my walk back.
It's a bit of a poor do if your Wembley trip, which resulted in the most unexpected promotion after quite possibly our greatest season in a very long time, was ruined by a pie.
I feel for you sir.

The tannoy is shite everywhere, the speakers are awful quality and to make up with how tinny/**** the speakers are they turn it up real loud, meaning at half time when you're trying to have a conversation on the terraces you can't hear yourself think!

Re: CFS facilities
You obviously didn't taste the pie, Macca. I'd rather be in the old 4th Division than have a pie like that again. It was nearly as bad as the pie my dad bought for me during the Stockport play-off Final back in 1994. Anyway, at least it was a sunny day - not a puddle in sight.MACCA wrote:It's a bit of a poor do if your Wembley trip, which resulted in the most unexpected promotion after quite possibly our greatest season in a very long time, was ruined by a pie.

I love pies, I had a haffners steak and kidney yesterday pre turf. Worth £1.80 of any man's money.Billy Balfour wrote:You obviously didn't taste the pie, Macca. I do like pies, however sadly my addiction to them became too much and I've had to knock them down to around 1 a fortnight. Which is a far cry from the AT LEAST tge half a dozen a week I used to have, sometimes itd be 2 or 3 a day, I had a dozen 1 week when I was at my height of addiction.
Luckily I've turned my life around since.

I go to watch Malaga sometimes down here on the Costa del Sol in Spain and I can honestly say I haven't seen one puddle, big or small, anywhere near the stadium.

Re: CFS facilities
Tengo que admitir que las empanadas no son buenas.
Re: CFS facilities
The facilities at the Turf are disgraceful, especially considering we’re a PL side, and have been for 4 in 5 years.
I absolutely agree with the decision to prioritise the training ground and playing squad, but at some point, we really need to press on with modernising the ground.
If we don’t do it now, then when are we? We’ll never be in a better financial position.

I wouldn’t bother with him.
This is the ever contradictory f@nny who complained that the new disabled sections aren’t “rounded off” (which would make them smaller anyway. Not that it matters what they look like. Weird.). Now it’s puddles / poor facilities. Last Tuesday she was in a meltdown over how we are playing saying people would be lucky to be turned away from the Liverpool game.
Jesus wept. Go on. Back your team best you can. Don’t be a snowflake... and leave it at that until the next game.

Don't get so uptight Shaun, believe nothing you read on this forum and you'll have a much better time.
It wasn't your pals who've done the drainage was it, is that why your getting all hot under the collar?
I'm a new man, I'm all happy about everything claret and blue these days, although I can't help helping a few people get their much needed frustration of every day life out.
