London Clarets contact details.

Post by Longsidebogs » Mon Dec 10, 2018 8:32 pm

Anyone know contact details or information on London Clarets? Mate I met recently lives in striking distance of the smoke and a relatively new Claret. Might be good for him to join these guys. Any info appreciated. Cheers.

A brilliant club, trips to most games outside London, wonderful magazine worth the membership alone.

You don't have to live in London to join and for circa £20 per annum you get a really good quality magazine six times a year.

It's a no brainer.

Agree with all above if you live in the south or anywhere in practice it's worth joining just for the excellent magazine 6 times a year.

The magazine contains the best reporting and writing you will come across regarding BFC.

You've got to hand it to these Londoners once again!

Very few are actually Londoners CH, most are from the North originally but moved there for work reasons.

Agreed SouthWest, I was a member of London Clarets for several years and have never lived in London.
As stated above, the magazine has been excellent for many years.

Yes CH the Magazine has now gone 4-Colour on the front and Back cover which I think adds to the appearance.

Really angry? How do you mean?

I've never met any of them in person but as said above the magazine is reliably great.

I see them at games sometimes and a few seem to get incredibly angry at the smallest things, it doesn't seem an enjoyable way to spend a day out but each to their own.

More pertinently though, I was on a delayed train (the train had hit and killed someone so most were being a bit more accepting of a few hours inconvenience) back from a match with a number of them and one of them (who is one of the main members) was being incredibly abusive and aggressive to other passengers because he didn't have a seat. Reduced one woman to tears and caused a number of people to give up their seats and stand in another carriage to get away from him whilst the other members just looked on and did nothing to shut him up.

I suspect, even though this is only the facts, it will soon get deleted, but it was that point where I stopped pondering joining the London Clarets and decided that wasn't the kind of people I wanted to be associated with on an away day.
