Think she will win but have so many votes against she still ought to quit. If she goes there is obviously a time issue on brexit.

An interim brexiteer pm is the obvious way forward. So that means davis or someone like IDS. They cocked up last time by game playing. They need to agree beforehand a single brexiteer to take on the establishment.

And replace her with whom?

And that person will have even less of a mandate than she does

One of the many problems that people have is that the alternatives are worse.

David Davis and IDS for example are very, very, very poor at what they do, Davis because he's not a details man, and IDS because he's as thick as mince.

No one...I repeat no one would have or will get a better deal than Theresa May has done.
All these MP's who are against her talk a good talk, most of them would sh*t themselves if they had to cope with what she has.
Now is not the time to change the PM.Get Brexit sorted and then is the time to change if thats what the country wants. At the earliest it would be the end of January to elect a new leader and that is too late...The pound would go into freefall and so would the FTSE.

Thr brexiteers should be given the chance to get a proper brexit. They might although it would be against the odds. Its the only chance of this issue not festering for decades.

The DUP will pot May's deal anyway so voc helps speed up things.

Maybe if they had stopped quitting their jobs, or challenges the last leadership contest, they'd have got the off-a-cliff option they're dying for.

At least Remoaner MPs have actually been put in their position by the ballot box.

Some of their leading co-conspirators and protagonists in the sinister establishment and political class plot to undermine democracy, have never received a single vote in their lives.

Been said a couple of times on the radio this morning that If we have a Clean Genuine Brexit on a WTO rules basis. It means any existing trade rules can stay in place for a maximum of years. That would negate any imagined Irish border problems. We'd have 10 years to sort it. Apparently if the EU wouldn't agree they be in breach of international law.

How? Parliament won’t allow a no deal Brexit. The cabinet has been full of Brexit figures, and they’ve mostly resigned. They haven’t stepped up to the plate. Even when no longer tied to a government position they’ve hardly been full of fresh new ideas. ERG hasn’t put forward a coherent plan (several fag packet ones that they withdrew right away). At some point leave voters have to conclude they’ve been sold a complete lemon.

IF there's to be a general election, with May at the helm, having being seen by large swaithes of its core vote to renege on its 2017 manifesto pledge. The Tories will be electorally goosed. With many tory backbenchers on wafer thin majorities in their seats. For purely self preservation , they'll want shut. For that reason, I think she'll be gone. Could be wrong....

Theresa May should have been booted out last summer after a pathetic election campaign when half of the manifesto had to be binned.

I don't remember a time in recent history any party leader threw away a 20 point lead and lost a majority.

I'm no Corbyn fan but he won the TV debates hands down in 2017.

Sadly i think she'll cling on tonight, the important issue is the numbers if she wins narrowly does she still have the authority to continue.

No idea what you are saying mate, but based on previous experience its something to do with not being able to hack being wrong.

I blocked you because you are not interested in my opinion, you just read what you want to read. You even read and then say stuff I haven't actually posted. You then started to question what I knew about Burnley, despite having supported them my entire life and my parents both being from East Lancs and most of my family still living there. You then went further and started to make assumptions about my life and where I lived. When you started to take an interest in where I might live I realised that you needed help.

This board went downhill when you started spreading your bile on here and I'm glad I can no longer read most of it.

Have I been clear enough?

As it is a secret ballot then MP's can publicly support Theresa (keep their jobs) and then stab her in the back. Probably best for a new leader to be elected as her 'control freak' personality is obviously not suitable for an 'inclusive' and democratic political system.

And like him you're unwilling to accept the word "most" wasn't mine.

"I do have the unfortunate habit of been right most of the time!"......

Pure arrogance.

Look, on such a momentous day like today I'm not going to go down a conversation cul de sac. There's much more interesting things going on.

Its a good point about treating people tweeting support and voting differently.

Apparently MPs have been putting in, withdrawing letters, putting them in again and withdrawing again.

Nothing is certain.

I don't block any other breixiteer. I wouldn't block any other brexiteer. I listen and debate with all other Brexiteers. Just not with him.
The idea that you blocked me cos I made "assumptions about my life and where I lived. When you started to take an interest in where I might live I realised that you needed help." Is laughable!

It's common knowledge where you live.

An ivory tower.
