Lol. Things aren't going your way so you ask if we should stop talking about it. You could probably qualify to be the next Tory leader with that attitude.

Re: Should the politics stop on here ?
I can't find the thread this this is most relevent to, and i don't want to start a new one, so i'm just going to post this here so that i can refer to it when smudge or someone like him complains that BLM are meanies.
It's not strictly on topic, though it is a little bit, but whatever. this is a worthless thread anyway.

Yes. At times it’s crap this board to read with all the political nonsense. I read this board to get away from reading that kind of crap on SkyNews and Facebook

See, I come here to read this stuff because I avoid sky news, facebook and newspapers in general. I don't watch TV (except for shows, like GoT or whatever) or read newspapers (except for the crosswords. The daily mail is a good crossword....)bf2k wrote:Yes. As mental as (for example) Turtle and Ringo are they educate me better in what is going on in the world than any news report could.

I find that the best solution is not to read the things I’m not interested in reading.bf2k wrote:Yes. At times it’s crap this board to read with all the political nonsense. I read this board to get away from reading that kind of crap on SkyNews and Facebook

It didn't miss my news round-up. It's just not relevant to my feelings of what happened, or about terrorist who committed the attack, because i'm not a bigot.SmudgetheClaret wrote:as you mentioned me I’m wondering why the news that it was an Islamist shouting Allu Akbar who shot up the French has missed your news round up ?

I'm very selective, yes. But my criteria and what you think my criteria is are likely two vastly different things.

No it shouldn't stop.
What needs to stop is multiple threads about the same topic - Brexit for example.
US Politics would be another.

Don't you get why this forum, and clarets mad before it, is so good? It's people with a common interest sharing views that goes above and beyond the sport we all want to see our team excel at. Local politics, local events, local news is all on here. Sometime it stretches those boundaries but that's good. Imagine having to sign up to every music forum, every spanish football forum, every political forum, every craft beer forum, every IT forum (I mean computers, not imploding turtle) just to get answers to a simple question.
Granted, the brexit threads have been fairly incessant, but I wouldn't change it for all the farms in cuba, not when tomorrow I could ask someone on here why my printer isn't working and they'd tell me, then I'd recommend someone a beer that they'd drink whilst watching a film someone else has recommended whilst on holiday in a nice little cottage somewhere in the cotswalds that is owned by a Burnley fan.
That is what we're here for.

No, they shouldn't stop. It's pretty clear which threads are politically driven so just don't click on them. Even if you "accidentally" click on one, when you see it is political, just hit the home button I do agree with GIADJ81 that some threads could be merged somewhat.

Also as said many time on here if you don't like the subject of any thread then simply don't look at it.
