2019 PDC World Darts Championship

Post by FactualFrank » Thu Dec 13, 2018 6:35 pm

Anybody watching?

I'm going for Gary Anderson to win it, but would prefer someone such as Peter Wright or Mensur Suljovic.

She’s from Scotland originally she’s Gary Anderson’s sister, now playing out of Bolton.

As I have for a few years, I’ll be backing Dimi VdBergh. A huge talent.

I’d love to see a big revival from Lewis.

Can see Anderson picking up the trophy.

My bet would be for Rob Cross to be knocked out by the quarters at the latest.

Really pisses me off that Danni and Charis (walk on girls) are not allowed, yet we have to put up with the dancing girls, snowflake tossers.

I went in 2013 and can say for definite that I will not be going again. The environment came as quite a shock to this Bob Lord season ticket holder. I felt a little out of place with my tartan rug and matching flask. Almost everyone was drunk and in fancy dress. They all thought I had come as Roy Cropper. On the plus side I wasn't joined by that annoying little bloke whose party piece is shouting 'Are you watching liner'.

I've not been to the Ally Pally, but been to live darts. To be perfectly honest, I prefer watching it on the TV. I've always been in the stands, miles away, and ended up either having to watch it on the overhead TVs or try to find a pair of binoculars!

Ashton played very well in the first set and Dekker looked scared to death at the thought of being beat by a woman.

I've been flicking between the Snooker (Scottish Open) and the Darts, and missed it if they showed him having beer thrown over him. I just heard it when I turned back over. Not a fan of MVG at all, but you don't need that happening.

They certainly showed it and MVG was showered in beer.

Disgusting stuff and clearly unsettled him.

Apparently he said that he did what he did due to his bipolar disorder.
Perhaps it's just because he's a c**t?

I've not yet worked out how the hell he got with Sammi Marsh. I guess it has to be money as he doesn't appear to have the personality and certainly doesn't have the looks.

Macca is dusting off the darts tonight for the first time in a while.
Not sure whether it'll be any sort of standard that warrants a crowd, but I'm sure some of the viewers will appreciate the skill on show.

Well. There's been some very close games this evening, but overall some pretty poor darts! To be expected at this stage of the competition, but I can't say I've seen many players who could cause an upset so far this tournament.

Yep, resumes on the 27th. MVG vs Adi Lewis to bring a 9 dart finish, very realistic.

He's never been off the prick list in fairness....to blame bi polar for being a charmless and bad mannered pr-ck is just wrong. He then somehow tried to defend his actions by saying he did it for his country and his new baby boy.....great role model daddy....what a grade a pr-ck....hopefully like in his last round the crowd will give him further grief and he can go and have a beer with Gerwen Bully boy price.....I still think Rob Cross is a big danger this week and backed him at 12/1 from the weaker side of the draw....Andersons last 5 averages on that stage have all been in the 90's and whilst he is one of only a few that can get over the 100 mark consistently I don't think he is as good as 2 years ago....mvg also isn't just as reliable as he once was so more than happy with 12/1 for cross who played better in the final last year against Taylor than any other round.

Crikey, what a tense first set that was! Had Henderson lost it, I think Smith would have run away with the match. Vital first set on the board for Henderson.
