Really defensive looking side - intended to keep them out. Lets hope they don't score an early one

With maybe one, possibly two exceptions, whenever Kev Long has stepped in to cover, he's been good. Sometimes much better than good!
I've always found myself scratching my head at some of the comments he's had over the seasons.

Now that extra man is in there Cork and Westwood have to be awake to the extra freedom they have to get forward with Barnes.

Agreed. Long is one of our most consistent performers and has never let the team down. Deserves his place.

Very happy we're playing 5 at the back. Wood has been very poor so changing things up in some way (whether bringing in Vokes, an extra midfielder or defender) seems sensible. Let's hope we can stay in it and sneak a goal. UTC.

I'm getting early warning here. Alan McInally, on Sky, is a full minute ahead of an excellent stream from Ripple.

If you can manage to get a full minute ahead of Alan McInally, somebody can warn Dyche.

You can take a lot from passing accuracy. Ours is currently 65%. The best passing teams get 90+%.

We really struggle passing it around in the middle. Not enough movement.

We need to sign another central midfielder in Jan. A physically strong one who can better complement him.

Edit - or maybe one that can pass!

I wish Scott had been reffing last week when yon fella tried to kick Bardsleys head off. Soft freekick against Brady.

Unlucky Barnes. If we could nick one here, they look like they are struggling to break us down defensively.

0-0 at HT. I'll take that. Spurs haven't really tested Hart - we've made it difficult for them by getting so many bodies in the way.

Playing well at h/t.

1 great block from Joe Hart, bad headed miss from Ash
They've had possession but honours even.
