Not sure what category it would fit in but moffitt's "worst day of my life" meltdown after England lost a game of football deserves recognition.

Or when Le Pen was shown the door, that meltdown was equally weird.

Thread killer of the year

The "Expert, who needs experts?" making stuff up with no basis in reality award of the year.

You could actually do that one on a daily basis!

That reminds me, Lancs.

I don't recall your response to my question how you select and identify the "experts" you are following on twitter.

Would it be unkind of me to suggest a "I'm always right" award of the year? ;)

Have a great day.

But I don't log on or read all threads for days on ends to be honest these days, too much nonsense threads or ones not to my liking

So how are all these suggestions going to be assimilated ? Who'll do it ? Hang on.....................
Gosh I've just won most helpful poster of the year by default.
I'd like to thank my mum and dad brothers and sister, my teachers for inspiring my love of the English language which helps so much on here, my lecturers for pushing me to be the intellect and construction specialist that I am, the man who saved me from drowning in Lowerhouse Lodge when my ankle got caught up in some weeds and a discarded chopper; The people who stood with me in the Longside in the dark days and the glory days, the people who served me beer when I was 15 so I developed a love for beer and ultimately helped save British brewing by my purchases of real ale and oversized underpants assisting the Lancashire cotton revival. I'd also like to thank the numerous players of quality and endeavour we have had over the years that has nurtured my love of BFC you to have contributed to my self awarded award.
Our beauty spots and places of historical interest around the town have helped me unwind after games and calm down and realise that football is only 90 minutes Burnley is Shangri lah when we are not playing and we take succour in that, the people who work and volunteer in those sectors you know who you are and I wont embarrass you by listing you in my acceptance speech. Finally my wonderful grandchildren who although to young to speak but already more socially aware and less embarrassing when eating spaghetti then the entire population of Blackburn; grandad will take you on the Turf when mummy will let you go in the Miners before a game ( long story a Benny n Hot was spilt on a dress no harm just a stain)
Finally my wife who has put up with coming second every 90 minutes when we are playing for 30 years plus, my award tonight although yet to be rubber stamped might provide some comfort.
