Highview Parking - Hollywood Star

Post by ClaretAndJew » Fri Dec 21, 2018 2:35 pm

Just a quick heads up to anyone who uses this car park and either pays via the RingGo App or uses the phone/text to park without a ticket.

I've been issued a "Charge Notice" from Highview Parking for £95 reduced to £55 if I paid it before 02/01/2019.

Fortunately I have copies of receipts from the RingGo app to show I had paid fairly and legally, but I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have this proof.

Ridiculous amount to charge when it costs £2.50 to park there for 24 hours.

This PCN charge was from 9:30am - 16:12pm.

Highview Parking should be renamed Highwayman Parking, robbing swines.

Out of interest do you have to pay if you are using the pub/cinema or is the parking charge just for people parking for town etc?

Not sure mate. I used the car park to catch the train but when I looked on Google about it, there have been people stung by it for overstaying the limit, whatever that is, when they've gone to the restaurant.

how long was it between parking and getting the ticket ? I think you get 4 hours free, went to see bohemian rhapsody a couple of weeks ago and we just went over 4 hours.

I received the ticket today, parked on the 12th. I paid for the entirety of the day which I have invoices for.

Just spoke to them at Reel. Apparently the window is 4 hours, but then he did say as long as you pay extra then they don't send you a notice. So I've paid via the app so it's obviously not registered it.

Weird.
