Villa v Dirty Leeds

Post by ElectroClaret » Sun Dec 23, 2018 1:58 pm

Villa started like an express train, leading DL 2-0 after 17 mins. :)

As a lifelong Norwich fan I also want to win the league but stay in the championship. Why bother going into a league where we need to bankrupt ourselves just to have the privilege of being spanked every week by a bunch of overpaid prima donnas?

As a Villa fan I would like to win the league then stay in the Championship. Where anybody can beat anybody. Palace beating Man City is a rarity.

Some comments on the Beeb's live commentary stream, seems not everyone is excited by the prospect of Premier League footy.

As much as I can’t stand Dirty leeds you can’t help but enjoy watching their football this season. I’ve only seen them 3 times on the tv but they don’t half play an exciting brand of footy...

I feel ill now

Struggling to watch this, especially with one of the commentators, who clearly must be a Leeds fan the way he celebrated their equaliser :(

That's a fantastic idea being In the Championship winning it every year but not getting promoted,I'm up for that starting next season, sick of the Premier league and it's cheating and disrespecting anyone not in the top six

How about the top six buggering off and playing in a European League....
Could still have a Champions League / Uefa League etc

Get rid of the prima donnas of Citeh, Manure, Arsnil, Chelski, Livinghell and Tottingham.

Any idea which excludes those six is good in my books, these clubs are slowly killing the beautiful game.

2-0 down at half time, coming back to win 3-2 away from home with a 94th minute winner, has to be 1 of the best feeling any football fan can experience, even more so if it sends you top for Christmas.

**Stat alert**

For the last 18 seasons in the Championship, whoever has been top on Christmas day has gone up..

I hate Leeds, but I have to say this manager has got them playing good, flowing, attacking football, where they keep it on the ground and pass the ball well to each other.

I hate Leeds but I fancied a comeback and the £34 I won will pay for the fuel up v Everton .

I think the last team to be top at Christmas and not go up was us.

There's a lot to be said for the championship. Watched a few games on sky this season (not today) and if we were to end up in there , we don't have much to fear, even Cork might be able to compete at that level.

As good a game as I've seen all season.
Leeds on form are a joy to watch.
A team that has cost peanuts and half of them homegrown kids.
Credit where its due, if its entertainment you want, its this Leeds team.
Having also seen Everton this afternoon I thought they were the worst Prem side I've seen.
If they are as bad on Wednesday...

Sad to see that 2 of the better teams from the league below look head and shoulders above us from a footballing point of view.
