I just hope Pickford is in goal for them, he's garbage. Everton 3-1 down at home to Spurs.

Yep, Toffees looking fairly ordinary at the mo.
Problem is, we're no Spurs... :(

From the BBC:

"No player has made more errors leading to a goal in the Premier League this season than Jordan Pickford (3)."

He's the England goalkeeper, you can't book him.

everton being currently torn apart by spurs, should make them suitably low on confidence when they come here on boxing day.

Some on this board were right - Dyche was so negative; we should’ve played a much more expansive game against Spurs.

4-1 to Spurs, first minute of second half. Great goal from Erikson. Toffees defence and midfield can not defend. Our free flowing, attacking football will overpower them easily.

Push in the back. Foul given and goal dissallowed.

Yesterday push in back. Exactly the same if not more blatant. Foul not given.

Top 6 clubs get the benefit of both decisions

Hi warks, did you get to the Emirates, yesterday?

If Nick Pope is fit, then he get's the shirt for me (though, it's probably too early).

3 CDs, Long, Tarks, Mee. Yes, there's still some settling in for all 3 of them playing 3 at the back. All 3 deserve the chance to play against a non-top 6 side and show what they can do.

If Brady is fit, I'd happily see him in the side, but Charles Taylor did a lot of good things (even though he over-hit a few crosses).

Vydra? He looked a long way off the pace yesterday and struggled. i know it was "only a cameo" but if he's to claim a starting place I'd have expected he'd show a lot more. So, Sam Vokes for his heading, hold-up play and knock-ons would be my pick.

Certainly puts our performance against Spurs into perspective.

There’s points up for grabs on Boxing Day for sure, we need to keep Richarlison quiet though.

If we had Pope, JBG, Brady and Defour fully fit and in form, we would beat them. But knowing us, I just don't know what to expect.

Coleman is a weak link but we don't have the pace to exploit it.

The centre- backs have been worse than Coleman tbh.

Reminiscent of two successive Burnley away games in September 1961, the first at Birmingham which we won 6-2 and then four days later at Leicester with another 6-2 win. Totally dominant in both games just as Tottenham are today.

You've guessed it, our next game was home to Everton and we won 2-1.

There's only been one corner all game for either side. That must be a record of some kind?

Depends whether the wingers and Defour are fit or not.

If not;

Hart
Tarkowski Gibson Mee
Bardsley Cork Hendrick Westwood Taylor
Barnes Vokes

If yes;

Hart
Bardsley Tarkowski Mee Taylor
JBG Cork Hendrick Brady
Vokes Barnes

If Defour is fit, swap him for Westwood in the first team.

Hi Paul-made Spurs but could not get to Arsenal. Think we would all love to see Nick back in goal but suspect we wont see it until January, and can see Tom going out on loan in the window

Saw the game on SKY and Bardsley not as high tempo as his previous three games, and strange Lawton came on for him. Suspect SD thought he was more capable of putting a telling cross in to the two up front. Taylor got into good positions but his final cross in lets him down. We missed the pin point crossing of JBG and Brady yesterday. Would have been interesting to see if had we had a free kick around the box who would have taken it

Guess v Everton interesting to see if SD goes to a back 4, or 5 at the back. Suspect he will stay with 3 central defenders as it has certainly made Joe Harts life easier since he went to a 3, and we look less than conceeding

Very similar to the above, but Long on the left and Tarks in the centre of Defence.

If JBG fit would have him wide right WB (but Lowts if not)

So if Everton scored 2 against spurs, they might fancy getting a couple against us.

I'm not so sure about 5 at the back, unless the left and right back can push on successfully. I'd like a sol;id 4 at the back with 5 in midfield.
Hart,
Bardsley, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor,
JBG, Hendrick, Westwood, Cork, Brady,
Barnes

If 4-3-3 works for Liverpool and Man City then maybe the 'new and experimental Sean Dyche' might want to consider:

Hart
Bardsley Tarks Mee Taylor
Westwood Cork Hendrick
JBG Barnes Brady

Must depend almost entirely on the fitness of JBG and Brady.

If they're fit, at least one of the them needs to start and I can imagine us playing those two off Barnes and in a variant of the system we've used in the past couple of games, perhaps with Tarks pushed on. One notable feature at Arsenal was the way we used Tarks to step forward and switch play, which is something we've missed at times.

But I think it's more likely we'll revert to a back 4, perhaps with Hendrick tucked in on one side. Spurs tore Everton apart down the sides of their centre backs, so I'd be tempted to bring Vydra in for Wood.
