You're expecting us to score 5 goals in 3 games when we've scored 16 in 18 this season?dsr wrote:Next three games:

Since you put it that way - I don't know, has any team ever improved their scoring rate before?ClaretAndJew wrote:You're expecting us to score 5 goals in 3 games when we've scored 16 in 18 this season?

I imagine they have, yes but you can only go on statistical data that is available at the time.dsr wrote:Since you put it that way - I don't know, has any team ever improved their scoring rate before?
We have no obvious goal threat nor a midfield that do anything other than lump it back to Hart or Mee. It's hopeful and I hope you're right but if we're going to win a game it's going to be 1 goal in it same if we draw.
Re: Score prediction v Everton
No, score predictions don't have to be based entirely on statistics. You can use other evidence too - haven't you noticed any improvement in form recently?ClaretAndJew wrote:I imagine they have, yes but you can only go on statistical data that is available at the time.

3-2 to us. They are wounded and will attack. I feel we're swaggering a bit on the back of 3 solid performances in a row and will get in behind them.

This is another "Oh s*it job/game" Everton hurting and their manager yet to win against us I think. If that is true- we had better watch out.

I'm loath to predict scores for burnley games but after Sunday's thrashing and Everton's confidence dented I will be looking for a home win.

Re: Score prediction v Everton
I thought we'd draw the last 2, however this 1 I can't see us getting anything.
They'll look to bounce back, and with their pace and creativity I think they'll cause us problems.
1 from a set peice too.
1-2

I think they will be smarting and have a little too much quality in Richarlison and Siggurdsson.

When did we last put 6 past anybody? Wasn't it Hereford? Oh! Wait! It was the other way around. And they went broke afterwards. So, it was good news? Anyways, I agree with Frank (I usually do). 2-0 to the good guys, with the magnificent Claret support leading the way. UTC.

Neither Gudmundsson nor Brady...no chance. Alas, a 3-1 loss.

Re: Score prediction v Everton
If Everton play to the standard they did against Spurs they'll beat us comfortably. Hopefully we'll bring them down to our level and with their bad run of form and low confidence we'll grab a draw. So my money is on 3-0 Everton but 1-1 is my outside bet

Do not under any circumstances challenge Dyche and the board to get worse players in.

I can't believe Dyche will adopt the sort of defensive set up at Turf Moor that he did at Spurs and Arsenal.Spijed wrote:Strange logic...
Everton's attack looked pretty good against Spurs and they will surely score against us.
Whilst Everton's defence was torn apart by Spurs, we hardly attack so that shouldn't be an issue.
Our midfield is poor and Everton's, as are most teams', is better than ours.
I can well believe 0-3 and it will tell us what we don't want to hear but really already know.......
Of course, I hope I'm wrong!

I take it you didn't watch the Liverpool, Brighton or Arsenal games recently?
Even against Newcastle we created loads of chances.
Re: Score prediction v Everton
1 - 0 to everton at half time we win 2 - 1 and get a penalty.
