The majority of blame lands with the board for me BUT they spent enough on Vydra and he virtually never plays - why would you back Dyche now ? and more to the point who would join us ? Summer was the time and our board ducked out againClaretSteve wrote:Board have a massive part to play in this I’m afraid. Not backing Dyche in the Summer. The anger should equally be directed that way.

One in 12 won. Vokes / Barnes never had a sniff. Defence so unaware (and I'll lump Hart in with the defence as well).
So so so frustrating but blame from board to manager to player.
This has been 1 year in the running

Why would anyone want him to keep his job just because he's got promoted from that league in the past,he still has the same philosophy,s ie: shite football and tactics

Watched on stream. A number of those players don't deserve to wear the shirt
Afraid time for some changes. Sorry but Taylor, Mee, Cork, Lowton, Wood, and even Hart are not up to this standard of football, As for tactics we have none. We play at home with 5 at the back and we get spanked by a side who let 6 in a couple of days. Feel sorry for the fans to be served this on a Boxing Day fixture

Thing is I do care what league we are in, Ideally i would prefer us playing some decent football under Dyche. I started watching Burnley in the early 60’s but his tactics have kept us in the Premier. The ongoing challenge is to evolve into a more attacking way of winning now and in the future.

It’s almost 3:00 am here in Queensland. That was a tough watch and reminded me of a similar spanking by Wolves when we were last relegated from the 1st Div. Can’t see a way out myself.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS v Toffeefolk
I don't believe he should go yet; he has done so much for us that he still deserves a bit more time but this season may well be the end even if we stay up.
He has to make some big decisions for this club now playing wise; one of them is getting Hart out (who should never have come in the first place; Heats was coming back and Lindegaard was back up for 6 months till Pope came back;Hart has upset the apple cart personally jesus, we've gone through a season with only 2 midfielders once, we didnt need 3 england keepers and 2 back ups!!!) and MEE has to be dropped, that today was the final straw, Captain, having a laugh, no leadership, head down and making basic errors every game; his confidence is shot!!
Tactics, appalling and was never gonna work, how much space was there in that opening 20 mins, players didnt know where to be; fair enough playing 5 at the back away to the top teams but not at home when we've never played it at such an important period of the season and needing a win. The wing backs didnt know whether to defend or attack, in the end they did neither!!! Who knows where we're gonna go now but all the tinkering recently has shown that Dyche is confused and mixed too and doesn't know how to stop the rot;why drop Long, he hasnt been that bad and bringing Gibson in was not necessary today;why Bardsley out, has been a leader on the pitch and given us some tempo and energy we lacked along with Barnes.
Been going on for too long and as I said a few weeks ago he needs to stop moddycoddling them and start giving these players a bit of **** because it has gone beyond being acceptable; it is look in the mirror and if you aint gonna roll up the sleeves and fight then f' off and get yourself a move in Jan.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS v Toffeefolk
I was going to say two steps forward and one step back, but that was painful to watch. I know its Christmas and the season of good will, although I draw the line at gift wrapping three goals for the other team. The first three goals made a mockery of any game plan we might have had and we shouldn't have conceeded any of them.
The first half was a shambles until we scrambled one in. Lots of mistakes and Cork tripping over his own feet every five minutes didn't help. Hart was poor today as well.
If Pope isn't back to full fitness I would give Tom a chance between the sticks in the next game. His commanding presence and a major change could give us a boost.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS v Toffeefolk
We won't sign anyone in January if we are cut adrift. We simply have a board in place that's adverse to risk taking. We will bank the money and the fans will be bullsh!tted to again over the supposed transfer warchest available to the manager in the summer
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS v Toffeefolk
Which of the usual excuses will Dyche role out this time, bad ref, we are still learning in this league, we are not that far away, good performance in patches, the players have the right mind set, its a tough league, no one said it would be easy, look at what we have created at this club away from the pitch, HOW about the truth, **** tactics, **** effort, out of my depth i resign.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS v Toffeefolk
For next game drop Ben and Joe and bring in Tom as captain. Gibson, Bardsley to start with Vydra and Barnes. JBG should be fit , and would start McNeil too. At least these players are our future. Afraid time for Vokes to be sold -god is he slow and predictable

Liam,
Been in 4000 for a couple of years now and am always tempted to stay up but it won’t happen for the WHU game.
Quick lunch and off to Caloundra is our plan ....

I'll still be in Europe for the West Ham game so I'll watch but if I was home, your plan sounds preferable based on the performance just witnessed.
