The goalkeeper , replaced by Tom Heaton , would be Taylor if Ward was fit , Hendrick if Defour is fit and finally that chap on the side of the pitch with the microphone who only seems to shout Cantonese for his announcements . Oh and everybody calling for Sean Dyche to be replaced think that should cover it adequately .

Finally calmed down a little from THAT yesterday.

As I’ve put on another thread. Tom wants to leave he wasn’t up for the fight with Pope let alone challenging Hart and Pope. For this reason I wouldn’t put him in (unless he commits to the challenge) and as bad as he was yesterday that’s Harts first bad game in a while. If Pope is fit I’d stick him in as he’s the best for the way we play.
Bardsley back in
Tarks and Gibson centre back
Taylor at left back
Hendrick and Westwood (our best pairing for me) in the centre
McNeil attacking midfield central JBG and Brady (if fit) wide with those three swapping a lot
Barnes down middle
If Brady isn’t ready then I’m up for Vydra taking a place or wood partnering Barnes.

Now I’m not convinced McNeil is ready yet and Vydra will be good enough but I’d stick them in just because of a hopeful hunger to work for their place

Fact is we just dont have the players who are good enough. Everton have skillfull players and eight goals would not have flattered them.
Besdides skill we are also lacking heart and inbelievably organization. Other teams have moved on. We have moved but not forward.

Yesterday their first goal was a travesety. First Taylor - one of our better performers - gave away a cheap corner . That should not mean a goal but it did. Then the cross back in was watched by the goalkeeper and three centre backs. Guy had a free header. Second goal the keeper set the wall for a right footer to shoot but a left footer did and did it well and so on.

We need to get Pope back now (or Heaton) and get Long in. and Bardsley (why was he on the bench?) Drop Mee.
It was a big mistake to let Arfield go. I saw it written he was not the future. But just who is then?

Up front our two yesterday couldnt control the ball at all. It just bounced off them. Zouma won practically every header.

At the moment There is no light at the end of the tunnel. Hope I am proved wrong.

Tarks has been worse than Mee all season and needs a rest. Get Long back in for him.
Sadly we have no other lb as Taylor is sub-standard.
Cork needs a kick up the arse but it won’t happen. From last seasons superb work he is now slow of thought, short of pace and far too easily knocked off the ball.
Hart is just conceding too many. Time for a change.
Any changes need to happen NOW and the new defence allowed to bed in.

Dyche Woan and Loughlan.
A different regime with the same team and we might play with some belief, string some passes together, create something and learn how to defend again.

Problem with Tarks was that he was carrying an injury. I thought since he returned and playing with Bardslwy he was better. For me Ben should never be the central player of three CB's. I would prefer it if he played left back again.

Not saying drop him,but wtf has happened to Tarkowski? He used to take the ball out of defence and play football, the only things he does now is give it the big whoooosh

Hart causes issues that overshadow his shot stopping prowess
Lowton has turned so negative, he's a liability
Mee is just not our Ben Mee
Cork is just too soft and too slow, needs someone strong alongside him to do the physical stuff, and we don't have anyone, so he has to go.
Wood shouldn't even be on the bench. I wouldn't get rid, he's a good player, low on confidence, but we just don't play a game that suits his style.

top of the list has to be 5 at the back.

Maybe he has no options ahead of him? (Everton were particularly good at closing us down yesterday).

After that abject performance perhaps the question should be who would you pick?

Heaton, Bardsley, in for me

I think Boxing Day needs consigning to the dustbin. At first glance I didn’t have too much issue with the line-up as we’d ditched Wood and given Gibson a start which I thought made sense. There was also a necessity borne out of the injury situation.
We need to get back to a framework of partnerships working together all over the park. And we need at least 2/3 players on the pitch who are confident carrying the ball, if that means starting with McNeil, then I’d rather us do that than play a square peg in a round hole. Against West Ham,with players like Felipe Anderson, id rather pick a back four to defend.

Now I've calmed down I think bring Heaton in not because Hart is a bad keeper just because it would give all of us a lift as a lot see the dip in form down to Hart regardless of whether it's true and then let SD pick his team based on who trains like they want to get us back on track ...

Just looked back at the stats and the team sheet in our last home win, against Brighton.
Could have no qualms if he reverts to that team, given it was very much the type of framework-inspired gritty win of the past. It does rely on Brady being fit though.

Hart - I've supported him all season, but the mixture of not coming for crosses or commanding the defence is now worryingly obvious.
The first he should have come for, or had a defender to lead and get it cleared, the 4th wouldn't have happened with a 'Heaton "Out"' shout
Mee - I don't want rid, far from it, but put Gibson in for a bit.
Taylor - Where's Ward?
Cork - When he plays well and with aggression, we play well, if he doesn't show that the game passes him by

I would drop Lowton, Hart, Mee, Barnes, Vokes and Hendrick.

To come in would be Pope, Bardsley, Long, McNeil, Wood and Vydra

352. Bardsley can't really play this role, unfortunately we have no other option

Would drop Hart for Pope if he is approaching a decent level of fitness. Mee would get dropped for Gibson. I wouldn't put Mee on the bench. A message needs to go out. Would also chuck McNeil in. Depends on the formation. If it is three in the middle again, then Cork gets benched. He looks shattered. If it is four then he can play wide.

Wouldn't drop any of the 11 that started against Everton, give them one last game to redeem themselves, those that fail ...sack em Stan style.

Tough call but changes have to be made,Hart has to go he can't organise a **** up in a brewery,Lowts is suspended so Bards takes his place,Ben Mee has to be dropped after that shambles,Cork is too lightweight and looks shattered, and the forwards need a shake-up,the problem is we don't have many available options.

Heaton
Bardsley Tarks Gibson Taylor
JBG Westwood Hendrick McNeil
Barnes Vydra

Would be my line-up we have to chase wins now as draws aren't much use ATM.

So Hart,Mee,Cork,Vokes, and through no choice Lowton would make way.

Even with everything that has transpired this season the next three fixtures,Hammers,Udders and Fulham are potentially 9 available points,if we can take all of those the table could look vastly different by mid-January,big if admittedly.

I can imagine Joe Hart getting a bit of stick off the hammers fans as they didn't like him that much last year. Now they have signed a far better keeper in Fabianski it will show Harts failings up more.
We can't afford to have him distracted, he always interacts with the away fans too much as it is.

Mee cannot play in the centre of a back three (no right foot) and even with a flat back four, I would rest him for Gibson
Heaton
Bardsley,Long,Tarks,Gibson,Taylor
JBG,Westwood,Hendrick
Barnes,Wood/Vokes
A must win game so we have to go with two up front for any chance of scoring a goal

I agree. No one to replace him with who is any better and will make an impact.

It just says how weak our squad is when we have to rely on Jack Cork to pull the strings in centre mid every game
