Yes, before anyone says it, I concur, Garlick hasn’t got the stones to do it. He won’t even give us running hot water, he isn’t going to pay Sam his normal level and pay Sean off too. He will stay loyal too late (to his credit in a way, but doesn’t help us). We may still stay up, but it would be a mighty gamble.

Here's the problem
The board wont back any manager enough in the PL
Whoever is in charge is tasked with getting us into the PL then probably get us relegated because of the above then get us promoted again
If we are going to loiter mid table of the Championship we might as well do it watching some decent football rather than the current hoofball

It wont make a scrap of difference long term who is in charge as long as the board don't have the finance to back him at PL level (not a criticism just reality)

I was listening to a sports pyscologist talking about BFS a few weeks ago.
He made the point that because of his record of not having ever been relegated as soon as he is appointed the mindset of the players change as they then have the belief that they will indeed survive the drop and take that belief out onto the pitch.
