Screams of a White Flag to me, generalising about the season in an honest view accepting that its not good enough.

lots of descriptive talk about what is happening but clearly doesn't know how to resolve the problem of getting results as it's been a shocking 2018. We can't even scrape draws now, getting tonked every week!

A demoralised team and no wonder. Getting beat every week and the manager, tactically, unable to resolve a dire situation. Sean's tenure has run its course and given us some great memories which are likely to be badly tainted if the current situation is allowed to continue.

A typically honest and articulate appraisal.

We attempted a revolutionary “no attacks, no football” at Spurs and failed. Arsenal could have comfortably had double their total. You’re the happiest of happy clappers.

Weve been reduced to being pleased with narrow defeats

The blinkered have. Sad times. From a position of relative strength last xmas to where we are now. Mismanagement gonna cost us dear.

Thought it was a fair appraisal too.
He’s certainly not hiding.
It’s not like he’s bemoaning injuries. Being without our 3/4 most creative players is beginning to make things really tough. If they aren’t already.

Love how people criticise these interviews.

What do you want/expect?

I think he fronts up. He’s calm, regardless of the pressure which he is undoubtedly feeling right now. Don’t think he was full of excuses.

The previous few games I think there were positive to take, this one definitely not. He knows that.

Lost, one dimensional, tactically found out and the players can see what he is telling them in training just isn't working. They have lost faith in it.

Goodness knows why. Beardsley has been excellent since getting back in the team and Long, whilst not being the most gifted player, always gives 100% and has been no worse than Tarks and especially Mee. But still he drops them for Lowton, who's been average at best this season, and Gibson, who's yet to prove himself. Would really love to know his reasoning for these 2 changes!

Maybe he reads this msg.Board I personally wouldn't have changed the team who played at Arsenal last week apart from Wood.I think after the performance against Everton Hart will lose the shirt to Tom Heaton and that's not a criticism of Joe Hart....he's becoming canon fodder and I can't see him facing west ham.

Spurs battered us and despite defending well they eventually got the goal they deserved; we were battered and hardly had a shot all game.
Arsenal we played better going forward but they could have had a couple more 3-1, that's a tonking to me.
Let's look at results this year shall we; I'd say we've been battered a fair few times:

Watford at home 3-1
Fulham 4-2
City 5-0
Chelsea 4-0
West Ham 4-2
Liverpool 3-1
Everton 5-1
even Palace 2-0, Utd 2-0,
never in any of those games and would call them beatings

We even got battered when we won at Cardiff and the draw with Huddersfield

When we went 23 games unbeaten we were often battered during that run.

Did we win 1-3 away at Huddersfield? I remember watching that game here in Oz and thinking they were by far the better team.

We were clinical in attack and resolute in defence. Both aspects of our game have been on the wane for some time now - since Jan or Feb this year perhaps?

Since the Brady leg break injury, I think, which was around last December.

You have a point, even when we were winning/drawing in the championship and premier league we were getting outplayed. We just seemed to let teams tire themselves out before throwing the kitchen sink at them in the last 10.

It’s worked up until now. We haven’t changed our play whatsoever and failed miserably in virtually every transfer window since Dyche has taken charge. Now other managers have countered our style and we are being ground down.

This 532 formation is all well and good but we play the same ponderous way, no speed, fluidity or craft, It’s all pass around the back then hoof up front in the hope something lands, when it doesn’t it’s all back into positions without commiting to the tackle until they are within 15 yards of our goal.

Teams play a high line against us squeezing the play knowing we no threat on the counter and are no threat moving the ball forwards through the midfield.

I can see it clearly, you all can and sure as hell every opponent can aswell. Dyche cannot change he’s had 6 years with us and it’s the same system( framework as he calls it ) as it was in his first season. It’s out of date and the players aren’t buying into it anymore.
