Ashley Barnes

Post by TomtheClaret » Wed Dec 26, 2018 11:48 pm

A mate of mine waited with his son for autographs after game. Said Barnes looked to be in tears as he left.

He'd probably been on this board for ten minutes

Ashley Barnes is the player who gives it everything.

Unfortunately at this level we need more than players who get stuck in. The fact is that Barnes and most of our side wouldn't stand out in the Championship

Another good performance let down badly by his teammates

With any luck, it's because he and his teammates have been docked a weeks wages (minimum).

Whilst he's got his limitations, if everyone had applied themselves to their respective jobs to the same level as Barnes has this season, you sense things would be considerably better.

Ashley Barnes is one of our more skillful players with the ball at his feet facing goal.
He spends too much time with his back to goal looking up to the skies.

I noticed he was going mad with the defence, I think mainly Hart after the first goal went in. Goalkeeper and 3 centre backs and the guy has a free header in the 6 yard box. No wonder he went mad.
