Best photo printer

As thread title. Can anyone recommend a good one which is relatively compact? Seen a HP one which gets good reviews but the price makes me think it will only be good for light use.

Want good quality images and colours. Wireless preferred.

How often do you print and how quick a turnaround do you need when you do?

Given the cost of paper, ink, etc it's pretty much cheaper and better quality to just get them printed professionally rather than printing yourself.

Quite often for work if not in the office but thats documents rather than images. But over the last week cost me a small fortune in developing and printing pictures.

Its the convenience too.

Their software is also good.

Inks are the £ killer and always use quality paper.
Some papers "yellow" over time.
Some printer inks fade badly in sunlight also.

Epson Ecotank printers because you don't need cartridges and buy your ink in bottles and top up the tanks.....

Personally I found that I could get cheaper prints online than I could buy photo paper (not even counting the ink) so ended up getting a printer for work documents, boarding passes and the rest and if I wanted photos just ordering them, although that isn't as convenient obviously.

I’m on the look for one too. Just ordered a Epson V600 for scanning film. Just need a decent printer now

We've started using Tesco's, where you do them yourself. We just take the memory stick. The quality of pictures are really good. We were unsure prior to going as our pictures were from our sons wedding, were ended up being pleasantly surprised. They cost 50p per photo but well worth it.
