Cairney
Looks like Cairneys days at Fulham are numbered.
On his way to Newcastle by the looks of it. I know he hasn’t set the world alight but would welcome him in Burnley.

Re: Cairney
Lovely footballer.
Fulham were so great to watch last season. The reason, everything literally went through Cairney.
This season....they’ve gone away from what brought them success...this after a good start when, yep you guessed it, Cairney was playing!

Re: Cairney
I’d certainly be up for the club spending £15-£20m on Cairney. He’d definitely improve the first XI.
It’d be a serious statement of intent to not just the current squad and the fans but also to the rest of the division too that we’re not going down without a fight.

Re: Cairney
On his way to Newcastle? We should be all over that one, makes complete sense.
Will we....

Re: Cairney
Wouldn't cover enough mileage for Dyche...
Re: Cairney
Very good footballer - would walk into our team and worth the fee.
As said we should be in the bidding for this given Newcastle’s record fee and ours are pretty similar as I guess are our respective wage bills.

Re: Cairney
Missed half the season, but was great when he replaced Norwood in December. Good player, but hasn’t the metal for a relegation battle.jdrobbo wrote:Lovely footballer.

He’s a lot better, McDonald, Norwood & Cairney all are. I’m not saying Westwood isn’t good, but they’re all betterSkiptonClaret wrote:We’ve got Westwood, why would we want Cairney ?

Re: Cairney
we wont be signing anyone like Cairney
Re: Cairney
Mcdonald and Norwood are not better than Westwood. I am aware that this is only an opinion but at least my view can be backed up by actual games they have played at the top level.Burnley1989 wrote:He’s a lot better, McDonald, Norwood & Cairney all are. Re: Cairney
I thought this fella Cairney was the dogs nuts. What are Fulham doing selling him to Newcastle? Seems to me his career has taken a dive since Fulham got promotion and they just want rid.
Skipton might be right, he ain't no better than Westwood

Re: Cairney
Isn't Cairney the one who missed an easy chance against us playing for Rovers?

Re: Cairney
Far too much of a flair and creative talent for Dyche to be interested in, and probably won’t do enough defensively so I’d say no chance.
Expect to see Clucas.....because he’s the type to save us..

Scary to think Clucas was seen as some great potential signing by people on here in summerbuzzclarets79 wrote:Far too much of a flair and creative talent for Dyche to be interested in, and probably won’t do enough defensively so I’d say no chance.
